I watch a lot of interior design shows, and I think what really sets Mr Kate apart is how DIFFERENT each of the rooms they design is! Some designers tend to make every room look the same as the last room they designed, they really only decorate in one specific style that they know. Kate and Joey really take the vision of the person into account and it always looks totally unique!

I LOVE that stone wall! I Love "Retro".....Love the yellow phone, both the Lamps, everything is SO Retro/ 70's "Brady Bunch"!! My childhood era (born in 1966....grew up with a real blue table phone, a yellow wall phone in our kitchen, with...."huge Orange and Yellow flower wallpaper" in the kitchen! And I still have an Orange 70's ashtray....semi triangular! 👍👍😊 two thumbs up!!

laineymariebeauty Lowe’s KZread channel (Lowe’s Home Improvement) has great content like this as well! I highly recommend their series “The Weekender”, as well as their series named “Our Little Warehome”! I haven’t had cable for over a decade now, and I can honestly say that I don’t miss it much at all! There are a few channels I sometimes wish I could watch, but between a Netflix, KZread, and the basic free TV channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS, CW) I always have more than enough to watch! Cable is FAR too expensive to be worth it in my opinion, and to me it seems like such an unnecessary expense given how many free and cheap alternatives that are available to us these days!

I laughed so hard at them hamming up the styling montage with 70s sitcom sound effects. They had the theme DOWN, from room decor to outfits to rug cuddles while humming 70s-inspired “theme songs.” All the little details and personalization that make this channel so special and entertaining.

I’m old enough to remember the mid-late 70s. We actually had that rotary phone! Then when the 80s came & the push button dial was the latest tech, my mom upgraded to a push button dial phone exactly the same color. During my childhood, I remember how the bright pinks, neon yellows & teals of the late 60s-early 70s, that often swirled together in paisley or large, abstract floral prints, gave way to the dark orange, avocado green, dark brown, w/wood everywhere (including on the walls). Our washer & dryer were that baby puke mustard yellow, our fridge that dark avocado green. Our shag carpet was multicolored w/strands of orange, brown, green & cream. & my dad & I played backgammon @ the kitchen table for hours w/a set that looked just like the one you used. That craze went well into the 80s. This is a very tasteful, very stylish, modernized 2019 interpretation of the design style/color palette that surrounded me in early childhood. Hopefully this esthetic entertains as many fond memories for them as it still does for me. Well done Mr. Kate & Joey!

Mr.Kate is SO talented. Like both of you are wayyyy beyond just budget diy interior decorators. It was amazing how you picked up a whole new challenging style to decorate in and stuck to every requirement the client had , to the T. I literally love your channel it’s where I started to love interior design

So I am loving the fact that you are wearing the overalls and doing a '70's themed show. When I was pregnant with my first in the late 70's I wore cream colored overalls all the time. Fun fact, I live in northern Indiana and worked at a grade school with a Henry Zehr, he came from a rather large family, Joey reminds me of him in build.
