After Anette left the band I began thinking 'Am I a Anette fan? Yes! Is she the only reason for me to be a fan of Nightwish? No, definitely not!' and then I also thought 'What about Tarja? Am I a fan of her? Yes I am, but not of her character and her husband! So I can't be a Nightwish fan just because of her! What is it that made me a fan of this band then?' I came up with an answer and the answer was and always will be 'The music itself is the reason for me to be a Nightwish fan and therefore it's Tuomas and his songwriting skills! But not just him! Marco, Emppu and Jukka are also part of this band! They are all great people and awesome musicians and Marco has an awesome Voice too!' So yeah, I never really cared as much about who's the singer of this band as others because I never had a problem with any of the singers. Actually I wouldn't mind if Marco was the one to do all the vocals^^ Nevertheless I like all 3 of Nightwishs female singers equally and of course they are/ were an important part of the music! Tarja has an awesome operatic voice, Anette has a beautiful calm voice and Floor can do it all perfectly so there's nothing to worry about as long as Tuomas writes the music and Marco, Emppu and Jukka are there as well even though Jukka still needs time to recover from his insomnia but Kai is a cool dude and I wouldn't mind if he stays with the band in case Jukka doesn't come back. Oh and last but not least there's also Troy who has a really great voice too and he knows how to play them pipes! He's a nice guy and became an important part of this band because Tuomas wanted more folk elements and I totally agree. The folks make Nightwish much more versatile! I will always love this band and why should I be angry about some singers who left the band years ago if the music is doing perfectly fine and the band keeps on getting better and better?

I would disagree with only one thing in this whole thing. I *do* mind if Kai stays with Nightwish. Because that means he wouldn't return to his rightful place as the madman behind the Wintersun drums! =P

The demo of Amaranth even has a different name and chorus (It's called Reach) :)

Floor just memerizes you when you hear her sing, its like you get lost in her voice and don't want to find the way out!, like listening to a siren luring you in and keeps your attention, so perfect!

check out Nightwish's live version of 'Yours Is An Empty Hope' it's another heavier song of theirs, Floors vocals are powerful and during the chorus, Floor actually growls under Marcos vocals.

If you guys really want a good impression of Marco's clean vocals, you should search for 'The Islander' or 'While Your Lips are still Red'.

Nightwish are utterly brilliant & so good live , I've seen them twice now in the UK at Wembley London. \m/

I waited so long for this one... was not disappointed. Ghost River is probably one of my all time favourites from Nightwish, and this specific version (with Floor) is absolutely godlike

@@APREACTS You guys have probably done an *Ayreon* reaction or two (or three, dare I hope?) by now (26 Sep 2019), but I _haven't_ searched thru your 2019 Reactions yet - I'm working on it, I'm working on it... Has anyone told you that *both* Floor and Marco have been on Ayreon records *and* peformed in the first ever _official_ Ayreon concert (2015's _The Theater Equation_ is considered a stage performance), which was in September 15-16, 2017, and was released as _Ayreon Universe - The Best of Ayreon Live,_ on BD/DVD/CD in 2018?

Catching up with your videos I missed, *part* *4:* It's so great that you guys have put so much effort into pronouncing the names correctly-most reactionists (eh?) don't even bother to guess how 'Tuomas' is pronounced, for example. Marco's given name Marko is of course, more or less pronounced just like 'Marco', so no problems there. I think you've gotten 'Jukka' and 'Eppu' correctly in the past too :) Great Wacken performance, great reactions!

High Hopes. It's an amazing cover. Really shows Marco's vocal abilities and Emppu's take on the solo gives me chills every time. Also I think it's kinda cool to see how well the boys do on their own. 😄

anybody with a sensne of metal and good stuff, would bought this amazing DVD/Bluray by now.... Why wait?

You know, I don't know about those other two germans, but everytime I spit my coffee watching your videos it's because I'm laughin my ass off. So by all means keep butchering my language and, even more importantly, keep reflecting on that butchering in your absolutely hilarious and humorous way. I totally love it. So, and on a more serious note, I have to admit, that everytime I hear Floor sing an Imaginaerum song I keep thinking that those songs sound that much more awesome if sung by Anette, because they were written with her voice in mind. Not saying Floor doesn't nail those songs, but to me it's a testament of kzread.info good a singer Anette actually is. And I stand by my opinion that Imaginaerum is the best Nightwish album ever with and because of Anette.

Let me first start off and say I hope that you and your family had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.. Next time I want to say the beard is looking great LOL.. Also I want to say I love your show.. Now on to Nightwish.. this by far is music art.. the arrangement and composition and production of their music is amazing.. and also let us not forget the musicianship of this band.. this song is awesome. I highly recommend you to watch a band called "Band-Maid" 5 very talented female musicians from Tokyo. Hard Rock at it's best.

Imaginaerum is probably the best album by Nightwish. Tuomas surpassed himself with the composition in this album

I have to agree, he hit a major creative peak with this album. Every song on this album is perfect and flows so beautifully.

IF you really, I mean really want to watch some heavy and pure NW live stuff to headbang to I recommend you to listen to FantasMic (third part) LIVE from year 2000!! All the band members going totally crazy...

As much as I love the song, the backing track with the orchestra and ESPECIALLY the children's choir are way to low in the mix for this performance. The children's choir actually sings along from the second chorus and it's so epic in the studio version, as are the strings toward the end, but here you can hardly hear them.

Nope it is, they likely picked a yt version ripped from the bluray, that has he infamous pal to ntsc speed conversion applies, making it 5-10% slower than the original. Or maybe I'm just imaginign things here.

Seconded. Both are really epic songs (And REALLY long too, well over 30 minutes if listened back to back XD), and really underrated. As for what style they are, MoS is progressive power metal, and LoH is progressive symphonic power metal with a bit of growls halfway through (Some of the best growls I've ever heard. The singer sounds really vicious when doing them).

A bit like they would've listened to Beastie Boys just before making this. Kinda rappy moments in the singing of Marco :)

Nice review as always. It has been awhile since you guys reviewed a Epica clip. A good one by them would be "Chasing the dragon" from their Retrospects live DVD where they were supported by a full symphonic orchestra, choir and this case also acrobats . kzread.info/dash/bejne/dqxhqNWBcbSuoJs.html

This is great, as is the whole concert, yes, but take your time and listen to the original with Anette...it is a bit faster and the music is a bit creapier, and Anette is amazing!

@@jbo4547 that is true if you had seen Anette live first...but in the studio she was great, and had one of the greatest song to sing, and Floor is great how ever you look at her, listen to every Nightwish song she has done
