Guillermo del Toro’s ability to world-build is incredible. The cinematography, production design, costumes look to be on the level The Shape of Water and Pan’s Labyrinth. Put that together with this cast, and I cannot wait to see this in the theater.

My wife is Hispanic and I don’t mind watching a Spanish movie with english subtitles but a lot of people won’t bother or don’t like the mismatch of mouth to words. And also vice versa if they were Hispanic actors speaking english that’s kind of stupid for it to be released in Mexico. And even if it was released in Mexico it wouldn’t get the publicity it would in America unless it happened to blow up like squid game.

Yeah When i watch Cinderella My eyes just stuck for 2 people Cate Blanchett and Lily James And NA is no exception Ever since 1st trailer comes out I am already floored by Cate

"You're just an oakie with straight teeth." Devastating line delivered perfectly. Cate Blanchett is one of the best actresses working.

Rooney and Cate playing together is what I'm here for.

Can't imagine the magical feeling of being surrounded by greats like Bradley Cooper, Toni Collett, Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, Willem Dafoe...they all deserve the Oscar. Still, I'm also hoping Peter Dinklage grabs one this year.

Casting Cate Blanchett and Toni Collette in the same movie is cutting it a bit too close. I believe if Tilda Swinton had also been cast, the universe would have collapsed on itself.

In this film Toni Collete's presence was magnificent. She has an amazing aura and was perfect for her role as a psychic. She is definitely one of the best actresses in the world. She was incredible and so was the movie.

Just saw this film earlier tonight! It might possibly be my favorite film of the year so far. Guillermo del Toro has done it again, and made an absolutely phenomenal noir!

God this looks so damn good... Visually, you can already tell it's just gonna be beautiful. The cast is phenomenal. I think Bradley is a brilliant actor, and he will be great as the lead. Stoked to see this in theaters. And being the work of Guillermo Del Toro... chef's kiss.

This movie is a piece of art. Good story, good actors, good acting, beautiful everything, the direction was impeccable. I felt such pleasure watching their technique. Bradley Cooper really took his acting to a whole new level. I have been watching his evolution and he gets better as he age. Better acting skills and more handsome. Kate, uff, she is a goddess. My gosh, she have a style to die for. I enjoyed EVERYTHING about this movie.

Bradley Cooper gonna have a hell of an ending to 2021 with this and Licorice Pizza being some of the best movies of the year!

The novel was really intense, pessimistic and bleak. I couldn't put it down. The author, Bill Gresham, was the first husband of Joy Davidman, a poet and novelist who later married C.S. Lewis. All of them were fascinating people.

This might be my new favorite Guillermo del Toro movie and Bradley Cooper's best performance yet, I'm so glad I got to see it in theaters

I adored this movie. Great acting, directing, sound design and visuals. Easily my favorite film to come out in 2021.

Honestly Guillermo del Toro is one best film director I seen almost all his movies each one I was never disappointed always wanted it to last longer. Shape of water was brilliant love story that was soo different yet so familiar I love that about his movies

I know the world is overwhelmed with entertainment content when a movie like this with such a stellar cast comes out, and I never even heard of it. I used to know every film that would release, even on DVD.. I sought out the obscure ones. Now there's such a huge flood of great content everywhere on TV and theaters.. Something like even a Star Wars film can come out and many won't notice.

OH MAIS OUI. The book is one of my favorites, the 1947 movie was very good, and I cannot wait for this.

I gotta say this movie is the best new movie i've ever watched in many years , choosing this novel by William L Gresham for the movie was an excellent choice indeed , there are great lessons to be learned from this story. Greed always brings loss - Never trust a woman who's been deeply hurt by a man - Never tell your secrets to a stranger - Psychiatrists are phonies and they have never cured a patient - Nobody's perfect - A woman who truly loves a man will do anything for him - Some people are too blinded by fortune, they believe it can buy them anything - No wrong doing goes unpunished in a way or another ''What goes around comes back'' ''Everybody has a price to pay'' and finally - Don't get too driven by your emotions because it can be used against you. Honestly i think Hollywood should embrace meaningful stories like this because when you turn on the news these days you see nothing but real live action , i think film makers should consider making more movies that would trigger the logical and the critical thinking in peoples minds about different aspects of life, a good action movie is alright once in awhile but not all the time so the question at this point is, could movies be equivalent to the joy of reading a good novel?

This movie was so macabre, chilling and brilliant. The ending had me dropping my freaking Popcorn.

Everything Cate touches turns to gold

I just watched this film in cinema. The cinematography is perfect for a film aesthetic and shows a great solid cinema language in each composition and camera moving. The lights and details in each frame are perfectly placed in the right course of the story development. This ist the best film of the year!

Best work since Pans labyrinth I think. Looks are great, performances are great etc, but what really surprised me was the quality of the entire ending sequence. It was viciously dark and so many things happened in a matter of just 15-20 minutes or so.

I really think it's a proven fact now that Cate Blanchett just gets sexier and sexier in every successive movie she's in.

This is a remake of a Tyrone Power movie made in 1947. It is considered a Film Noir classic and didn't really need a remake. Good luck trying to replicate the original black and white master work.

The original 1947 movie is pretty cool, but doesn't capture the same sense of neo-noir that this film does. Plus, the 1947 version kind of butchers the ending.

I know you can never trust comments in youtube because in every trailer of a shitty movie there are comments saying ” this was the best film , so good , etc etc”. This was not something wow ,But this was a good movie and well worth watching. Its beautiful and atmospheric with tense situations. Actors are great.

Cate Blanchett best actress by far and no other than one of the greatest actors Willem Dafoe yes please.

If Guillermo is directing it, you know its gonna be good. Makes Mexicans so proud! 🇲🇽

just by the amazing cinematography, I will watch this movie. Guillermo is a true craftsman with the camera and photography.

Del Toro is one of the best directors of all time. Everything is just beautiful.

I love how they put the trailer in IMAX aspect ration but in fact, he wasn't filmed with IMAX cameras.

I LOVE the original 1950's movie. It makes me so happy to see a remake of it. The 'Geek' bit was great. Can't wait to see this

I also love the original 1947 version of this movie. Tyrone Power was super great as Stanton Carlisle. I can't wait to see this one.

Alley is a stunning visual marvel and easily one of the most impeccably well-made films since, well...Shape of Water. Del Toro now emerges as one of cinema's signature stylists and a craftsman of the first order. Even Scorsese is urging people to see this - and they should.

Dafoe is in so many movies this year and I love it

After watching this trailer I realized that if they want to make a live action bioshock movie, make sure Guillermo del Toro is the director.
