Фильм және анимация
In this episode of "Notes on a Scene," Bradley Cooper and director Guillermo del Toro break down the scene where Stanton Carlisle (Bradley Cooper) is on a manhunt at the carnival for a wild man that has escaped capture. I love love love them. Cant say that enough! Guillermo actually creates worlds rather than films. He creates atmosphere, aesthetics and art. I am touched by his attention to detail and his total dedication to the 40s vibe. How he promises himself to a project... how he loves what he does... how he leads others into the world he has created. I adoreeee him!!!
I love watching people who are passionate about something and get to do it the way they want to
Guillermo’s creativity overwhelms me, wish I had a tenth of it. He has this passion and drive to materialize everything as he sees it in his imagination it’s so humbling. Love him as a creative mind and as a human being. I can hear him talk for hours on end.
This better wins the Oscar for best production design.

@@delrey874 box office does affect what gets made. I feel like if nobody shows up for Nightmare Alley, studios take it as a sign to not make more of it. Critical Acclaim is important, but earning money is important too if we want to see more of it.
@delrey874

@@artietheonemanparty Yes, indeed. It's so sad that these films don't make money, it's so cruel that films by great directors like del Toro, Spielberg, PTA, Ridley Scott, Wes Anderson, Edgar Wright, Eastwood, etc. don't do well at the box office. When the studios stop giving them budgets, then cinema will really die. But the great news is that as streaming services make movies like Scorsese's, Jane Campion's and Adam McKay's, they are giving money to art houses and original films that may or may not be a hit. Maybe Netflix and Apple are the future of cinema, I don't know what the future of theatre will be, but at least they are giving a chance to films that other big studios are no longer making.
I went in expecting something else than what I saw. I loved this movie and that ending was phenomenal. Bradley Cooper definitely needs some Oscar recognition for this role. The world built was perfect and his character fits so well into it.
