I really wish Guillermo had his own podcast. I could seriously listen to him all day and i know that I'm not the only one that feels that way. That podcast would be wildly popular.

It's a good thing he doesn't have one. He's far too talented and creative to waste his life on a podcast. He needs to create films.
He is still a child dreaming. That is wonderful.
Guillermo has such keen intellect and an ability to articulate his ideas in a totally unpretentious way.

That's what I love about Del Toro. He's a genius who can express himself in a way that gets his point across in the most approachable way.

While searching for interviews with him I hadn’t seen yet, I was thinking exactly about what you just said. I know people who, while undeniably knowledgeable, cannot say a word without it feeling like they are showing off or making fun of you for not knowing what they know. Guillermo on the other hand, no - he is sharing information without any judgement or emotional validation attached to it.

Guillermo Del Toro is such a HUGE inspiration to me and listening to him speak is so enlightening and entertaining. I love him.
Guillermo del Toro is the only worldwide celebrity to whom I feel most related. I'm an artist and basically for all my life I've been gathering visual and spiritual references similar to things I fell in love with, when I was younger. Guess it's the point where your soul gets it's shape when you are a kid.
This guy remembers what happened when he was 2? He's propably a genius

I love that we share the experience of “compromising with monsters” when we were younger. I thought there were monsters in my basement when I was a kid, but I made “friendships” with them to escape my brothers and their friends. I honestly thought I was crazy for doing that, but I love hearing that one of my favorite directors did the same
Una inspiración Guillermo del Toro, me enorgullece como mexicano verlo crecer en otros países y no olvidar sus raíces
This man is an Encyclopedia of film 🎥 knowledge.
I love every interview I've seen of him. He is a rich soul.
The GREAT Guillermo del Toro! Such a delightful interview, too bad it didn't last longer. MAESTRO!

Great interview and conversation. Del Toro is the best director working today, for my money, and one of my favorites. Well done.

What an interesting man. I saw the exhibit their talking about and it was something else. In a good way. He is so smart; I love it when he uses the word "erudite" .
Del Toro is a cinematic master.
Guillermo Del Toro has an incredible vision. I want to see him remake Ridley Scott's Legend. That would be amazing.

I bloody love his films. They're so beautiful.
Delightful. I could listen to this guy all day. I think he has inherited the mantle of Joseph Campbell. Where Campbell gave us the scholarly information, Del Toro takes us there. Bravo.

Tom. What a year thus far. Great interview! This interview is huge. Well done.
Wow...if you’ve read H. P. Lovecraft, especially his dream-cycle, his dream was VERY Lovecraftian. This whole seeing things unseen in the dark, and being in contact with those, scared and yet close to them.
One of my favourite directors. What a wonderful man. 🤗
I started a kinship with monsters when I was in the crib gotta he one of the hardest quotes i’ve ever heard
fantastic interview, thanks so much !
Fantastic, natural & deep interview. I love GDT movies & the atmosphere he creates. A wonderful storyteller attentive to the light & darkness of the human heart. There is sad truthfulness that monstrosities of this world come from the human race....
Terrific interview, what a delight to watch.
damn hes so smart and interesting
One of my favorite directors, great imagination.
I love this guy ! I didn't even watched one of his films yet but everytime I find myself listening to him without realizing it
He's so cute.
It sounds like he’s describing sleep paralysis it’s so interesting
Brilliant interview despite some truly awful off the cuff response questions by the interviewer, each of which consisted of the same four words.
WHAT A REVELATION INTO HIS CREATIVITY!
I love listening to him talk🥰
"Can we validate his parking and get him out of here" LMAO
Neat. I love G. del Toro so much ♡♡♡♡
Oh man, he's so relatable. I still feel like this as am adult.
Love his interviews
love him
well read well spoken intellectual who has taken it upon himself to entertain the public with film.
Great interview.
Inspiring and uplifting

Look up the film, The Wanderer. It's like an N.C. Wyeth painting come to life. Came out around the time Barry Lyndon came out, and I was much more taken by it. It has the magic.
This interview further establishes why GDT is one of my favorite directors and people
I would say at this point Guillermo del toro is his own genre
Brilliant
How does one- Live a childhood- Surrounded by pictures "that inspire him"- Having HR giger works in that collection
Can't wait for new Haunted Mansion
The house of intellect!
and I'm about to die all the time. I love the melancholy of being depressed... I hate being happy
He is the quiet nerd that grew up to be an important figure in horror/fantasy cinema. I'm soo glad he is Mexican. :D which goes against his whole point of monsters are accepted for what they are and unlike US who find anything to divide humanity.
my fav dirrector of all time - he got robbed of doing the hobbit - humanity got robbed from viewing it
He's right about the monsters
'Hellboy'.....is a masterpiece
If Pugsley Addams grew up, I think he would be something like Guillermo.
We had that green shag in our rented flat for about a decade before we committed to spending some dough. There's a bit on our hall closet....must be from the 60's.
Guillermo del Toro is the man!!! I didn't like the last season of strain tho... season 1 and 2 were awesome!! The imgaining and camera angles were freaking awesome!!!

Long story short Guillermo is escapist, it is not bad, so long you have backbone to stand up to cruelties of this world at most important times. When somebody attacs your country, your home and family there is only one thing you can do.
Death Stranding brought me here.
he doesn't wear the ring
greatly admire his work, but it is obvious he is a heavily tortured soul… hope he finds what he seeks 😞

Interesting. But I think such worship and affinity with monsters is a slippery slope. Djinn (demons) are real - and are always looking low-hanging fruit. Guillermo is a 'soft touch'. He's got sympathy for the depraved and evil. I hope he says prayers of protection before he focuses his talents on the Dark Side. 🌚
