Guillermo did lectures/screenings for a few weeks in Toronto on some Hitchcock films. He would talk about the films before and after, and during a screening of FRENZY, he sat directly behind me. I peeked at him, and he was just transfixed with a big smile on his face like it was the most awesome thing ever. The dude loves cinema.

I just love how Del Toro never stopped loving his monsters, even if they didn't bring him awards or didn't make him a Big Shot in Hollywood... Directors now-a-days tend to forget why they started making movies in the first place, Spielberg forgot his first love, Science-Fiction and Nolan made an Oscar Bait as he was too desperate to win an Oscar.
