The EU hates sovereign nations and democracy, but it's cronies are too craven and clever to admit to it because they know the majority of European nations would reject them with extreme prejudice and without hesitation. Maybe now Britain can start healing and mending the damage that has been done by the cancer that is aka the EU!

You are very welcome to be an honorary Brit. Those who value freedom and independent thought and have views that are different from yours or mine are welcome to voice them and have their say. Its sad that so many political factions in the world are so keen to shut down anyone who disagrees with them. The EU has been guilty of this so many times, but as Nigel Farage was so vocal they would not dare as it would prove that he was right. The EU will start to crumble in the coming decade, and all those billions paid in by member states will disappear into Swiss banks in a vortex of financial corruption and incompetence as people begin to say "What does the EU do for me?" I find it amusing that before the referendum here in Scotland there were lots of signs on tourist attractions, public buildings and village halls saying something like "This building was funded by the European Union" in its trademark Blue and Yellow. OF COURSE THIS WAS NONSENSE UK government paid £13 billion to the EU budget, and EU spending on the UK was forecast to be £4 billion. So the UK’s ‘net contribution’ was estimated at nearly £9 billion. SO HOW THEY THOUGHT THEY PAID FOR ANYTHING OUT OF THE EU'S FAT BANK ACCOUNT WAS LAUGHABLE, BUT PEOPLE BELIEVED IT! IT WAS A ONE WAY STREET INTO THE EU'S COFFERS.

RC, the ONLY thing this chairperson was lacking was an EU version of Mao's LITTLE RED BOOK: a book of OFFICIAL GROUPTHINK messages; messages without LOGIC but which express only the hammered CLOSED-MINDED policies of her Centralized Command & Control entity ... to be spoken out, so awkwardly, at each such "appropriate" occasion. This "obedient" chairperson, with her selected memory, in her call to shut down the celebratory activities of the British contingency, and, in what I would describe as an "in your face" display of her well-honed propagandistic training, restated ONLY the words which she wanted to remember. IOW: she LIED regarding her interpretation of Farage's words. [How appropriate for such an EU stooge.] Could any other awkward public display be any clearer: this chairperson playing the role, perfectly, of the obedient useful idiot comrade? How pathetic, but, how emblematic of the entire EU notion. Truth is stubborn and ironic in different ways; coming out, on such occasions, even when the "masters" of forced groupthink are working so strenuously to bring about the opposite.

If a country wants to leave it should have the ability to do so in less than a month. But the European union keeps nations hostage, Greece, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Italy, Spain, Portugal are all examples of the European union using its currency as a way to threaten unhappy members the whole way through the EU made the British people vote several times to get different answers and after all the elections came up with the same answer they just... ignored it... oh no they spat on it before ignoring it because why not the UK isn't *really* leaving right? Wrong. Long story short: the Europeans Union is no longer a union, its a federation much like Russia which oppresses all the unwanted members of it's government into submission and whoever dares speak up will be unheard.

@@lollllolll. first of all The UK government lied the most. They promised things not possible. You cannot leave the EU and keep all the benefits. It’s just not possible. Your press or should I say Murdoch painted an image of the EU which is just plainly vile and untrue. Every reminder from the EU that UK is a third country was portrayed as revenge or spite and rules and laws which the UK enforced while EU member was portrayed as new and just to bully the UK even tough they were ratified long before Brexit. The Johnson government never intended to keep any word. The NIP for example which Johnson told to some MEPs that he is never intended to implement. You cannot divorce within one month how do you believe that you can leave an Union like EU within a month. Not even Scotland could leave within a month you are just plainly delusional. The Eu didn’t made UK vote several time but the UK gov did and no one ignored the result. Everyone kept reminding UK that if they leave they cannot keep the benefits like they were promised during the leave campaign. Every country has the right to veto. How they can be held hostage?. The EU is not Someone external and out of reach. WE ( the rest of the European countries) are the EU. UK vetoed a bunch of things solo which the rest would be happy to implement so there is a chance that the EU can move and evolve faster without the UK. The countries you mentioned there have no wish whatsoever to leave the EU. Hungary and Poland which are moving away from basic democratic principles and Greece which lied to get in to the club. Portugal prospered inside the EU and them beside Ireland are the ones that have the highest trust level in the EU. So I have no idea what you are talking about. I feel sorry for UKs citizens which didn’t believe all the lies and still must deal with the mess. But that’s how it is. Brexit is worse that it could have been if you would have a competent government. The UK went unprepared and still cannot keep their promises. If you ask me I wonder why the EU is acting so calmly but I’m not a diplomat.

@@futgamerretail202 The role Wall Street, Business interests, and United States intelligence agencies under their influence had in bringing this about cannot be understated. The brainwashing of the predisposed right winger is not a difficult task after all, talk to them about their nation, their race or jobs or have crazy liberals are usually does the job convincingly. I don't thing any country can be sovereign in this age of rapid Globalization and information technologies, networks, online transactions, the influences is too much. There are predatory nations with networks all around the world. For example United States is as we all know controlled by Israel. All the Banks, Publishing companies, News media every other important sector is in their control. I think the reason Brexit happed is because the British has been watching too much Netflix with shows like GOT, Breaking Bad and what other Hollywood's garbage collection.
