    Strong performance by Suriano. He looked good for the most part. He's a grinder. The pace of the match was perfect for his style. He's a tornado.

    Nick is obviously the truth. I watched a couple documentaries about him. He is extremely motivated & hard working. Definitely someone to watch for in upcoming international competition, & the next Olympics.

    @@daytonasayswhat9333 Yeah, it kinda depends on the sport. 28-32 is your physical prime. In MMA for instance, 26-28 is on the younger side. with 30-33 being prime years. 25 is both young and old at the same time, not sure how it is in wrestling tho

    @@daytonasayswhat9333 but the guy he wrestled was 29 ! 25 is typically a year out of college.Suriano red shifted and took another year off in college because he wanted to wrestle the Olympics. Then didn't make it due to positive covaid test at trials.That would stink devote two years to you're Olympics dreams,then not be able to trie out because of covaid test.Hope he gets a second shot,for sure good enough.

    @@normanhuntley5747 25 is not typically a year out of college. Maybe now with this infinite series of red shirts, gray shirts, Olympic shirts, and Covid years. I graduated college, as a college wrestler, at 21. Did you watch the World Cup last week? In the finals against USA, Iran had two 17 year olds competing (57kg and 125kg). How can you say 25 is young when they’re 17 year olds on world level senior teams?

    I love Iowa wrestling but when I went to this tournament this is when I fell in love with Nicks wrestling style and demeanor. Such a fun wrestler to watch.

    He doesn’t look near as big as he did when he wrestled 133 lbs in 2019 I know it’s 8 lbs more but still crazy how much of a difference it makes

    @@googlegmail9888 you think so? After he caught covid and missed out on the Olympic trials in early 2021 I would think he has unfinished business in the regard. He was very upset and based on what know about him (although he most definitely is full of surprises) I would think he's most definitely gonna try to become an Olympian. It's probably one of his ultimate goals in all reality. But anything is possible with him... whatever path he chooses, I have no doubt that he'll succeed in accomplishing whatever he sets out to do.

    Good to see the NJ legend on the mat. Only gave up one takedown in high school. Dominance!!!! I’m still hoping he goes to the UFC like what was rumored, but he might still wanna keep his Olympic dream alive. 🤷‍♂️

    Interview with his coach said one as a freshman at the Beast of the East. Where’d you get that from? I’m not saying you’re wrong…I’m just curious. Even 6 takedowns with no losses is pretty crazy dominance.

    I guess this erases links. There’s an article right before his senior year in states that says only once, but maybe he got taken down 5 times in the tournament. 🤷‍♂️

    Suriano/Fix matches are the best if you've got insomnia and can't sleep. On the other hand, if you want to stay awake, watch Zain/Yianni matches.

    Suriano's great but those post-whistle takedowns are dirty especially if he continues to do them. Hammering the legs takes a toll even if you're not scoring off it.
