You ain't working out hard if you're hitting on your friends. And if that's your friends, then you ain't friends. And if you ain't friends, you ain't hangin out. And if you ain't hangin out, you ain't livin the life. And if you ain't living the life of MMA, then good luck, because I am. And if you gonna fight me, you're in trouble.

@Ihab23 What Nick Diaz meant was this. If you train at a high level, then there are always risks (injuries) and to train with friends or family(brother), then that injury is either you or the other person. If that person is hurt, then obviously you will not feel good about that. One of the worse is that the person has to pull out of a fight due to injury you inflicted, because that is not positive to a relationship. Hence, the life of a MMA fighter. To enjoy doing all that is not easy.

To add, fighters get pulled from a fight very often as can be seen, like recent UFC events, due to injury. Well, these injuries came from training hard for an upcoming fight. They may happen on there own (self inflicted), but a lot of the times come from the training partner, because when training hard, the intensity may be about 80-100% intensity. The fighter sometimes shrugs off small injuries to hide them so the partner wont feel bad. The end may be a poor performance or a failed medical.

many people think nick is stupid. i disagree with this, and think he made many valid points in this interview. i think what makes nick come off as stupid sometimes is that he does not have great speech skills. in other words he sometimes has difficulty turning his ideas into words. i have the same problem somtimes especially when talking to people i don't know let alone an interview that will be on tv.

lol this interview's funny. he's letting nick finish his piece which is good though. about those rematch things about lawler etc.. i agree with nick simply because i want to see nick fight different guys anyways. even lawler showed disinterest in the fight on top of that. if noons beats a couple guys or one spectacular win, and gets into title contention, then he should get another shot at nick's belt though, for sure. if he is still champ at that point. ps. heavyweight tournament fuck ya!!

@thetaxlienspecialist Did you see cyborg vs Diaz ? Who was destroying his opponent at the beginning ? Why diaz was starting to get the advantage at the end of the fist round ? Answer those question and normaly you should understand why Diaz got no chance against GSP. From that point I would even say that GSP would make him like a fool in that octogon ...
