He's no loser. He was able to hang 5 rounds with a roided-out legend. Nick's a winner in my book. I dont care what Anderson does in the future.

I agree Diaz won that fight. I had him winning rounds 1,2 and 4 and now that we know Silva was juicing to try to win the fight it makes the Diaz showing more impressive. People say Diaz was clowning but the truth is he was mocking Anderson Silva. Everything Diaz did was done by Anderson Silva in previous fights. Diaz came up 15 pounds to fight Silva and didn't weight drain him or make it a catch weight. It is sad Anderson Juiced for this fight seeing that Diaz basically came up to his weight. I am even more impressed by Diaz performance because I feel he got the better of Anderson in many exchanges.

U fought GSP and Silva, both ROID heads. Man, Nick, U are the man, None of them could fight you out right. They had to cheat cause u do things honestly and they cheated when they fought u. GO NICK! Not sure what everyone else saw but I saw a guy fight possibly the G.O.A.T. who is a natural weight class above him, stood toe to toe and did better than anyone has ever done (with the exception of Weidman of course). Mcgregor take on all challenges?........ He just fought a midget half his size, 10 years his senior that is ranked 3 places below him. So Nick, the guy who just fought silva is taking less challenges that Mcgregor?... Get a fucking grip. Why do so many retards keep using Conor and Nick in the same breathe. Conor is a good prospect but hasn't fought anyone yet whereas Nick earned his place a long time ago and has never backed down from a fight. P.S. He clearly bear Condit. Turning your back during a fight and running away doesn't constitute "winning" and is actually against the rules

***** Diaz past the pre-fight test, but failed to post fight test, which most likely means after the fight he smoked a bowl, he, most likely, didn't smoke weed to fight. Because who wants to fight while high? Maybe fight a big ass bowl of cereal and then run a netflix marathon.

  • @jayperters5997

It does give an advantage. Joe Rogan commented on this. It numbs the effect of pain. It also takes away Diaz's fear and anxiety, and puts his mind at ease. He's been smoking so much that he's built a tolerance in that it doesn't affect his motor skills. BJJ guys will light up before training because it puts them in the "zone" and they can last longer.

  • @eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee78

Jay Perters , didn't you read dojOdRiFTeR comment? Diaz passed the prefight test, but of course we know the diaz brothers immediately light up all the time after fights, that why Nick did not pass the post fight test.

  • @jayperters5997

    @jayperters5997

    7 жыл бұрын

Post-fight test results (blood and urine) are done shortly right after the fighters go backstage for their post-fight medical (the Nevada State Athletic Commission rules). So no one is lighting up right when they go backstage because they are being watched by NSAC offcials. If you light up a joint within 6hrs of your fight, then it is still considered in-competition. Don't believe me? Nate got busted for this very thing, but was only given a warning. But he only lighted up AFTER he gave blood and urine for his post-fight. link to that: mmajunkie.com/2016/10/nate-diaz-gets-public-warning-from-usada-over-ufc-202-post-fight-vape-pen-use This means Nick smoked during the period after the pre-fight test and before his post-fight, which very well means he could have lighted up right before the fight, same as some bjj guys do before competiton.

Diaz needs to hate his opponent to fight effectively, and he simply respected the spider too much. Considering his boxing coach wasn't around and that his damaged arm prevented him from throwing meaningful left hands, it's no surprise to me he was unable to apply his pressure style. Hopefully, he will drip to WW and fight lawler, who would be more than willing to engage him.

Diaz needs to do more than just "put his punches together", he needs to evolve his entire game, kicks, elbows, flying knees, and most of all work on his Judo and wrestling takedowns that way he can utilize his excellent jiujitsu, until then people will just continue using the "in and out" blueprint to beat both Nick and Nate.

there is a lot of hate for diaz. I was there and i had him winning rounds 1,2 4, & 5. He took the fight to silva who was ducking.. Diaz has always been the bad boy and love his antics. He puts on a show and the vegas fans took it all in. I have no fucken idea what the fucken judges were scoring Judges Glenn Trowbridge and Marcos Rosales gave Silva all five rounds, 45-50 while Sal D'Amato only gave the fourth round to Diaz en route to a 49-46 score for Silva. No way the fight was loopsided in favor of Silva.. Vegas judges have a hard on for diaz. I hope he continues to fight and entertain the fans.. Another thing, how is it that diaz got paid $500,000 pay-out while silva recieved a rumored 6 million payout? (not sure at this time if it is substantied or not for the 6 mil, $600,000 purse to show, win bonus of $200,000, and his pay-per-view points. That is just a rumor at this point which i can't yet verify but if it is true, that is fucken alot for Silva.. ..... simple math for estimated ppv buys for ucf 183 at about 700.000 buys @ $54 (49.99 + 59.99 hd /2) is a gross receipt of 37.8 million...

This fight was a lot closer than any of the press expressed. Which goes to my point all along that this was set up for Silver to have a comeback win. Despite the promotion I doubt anyone (including judges) expected Diaz to win. Yes Silver won the fight but not by much. He got a few better strikes in but Diaz was the more aggressive. I personally thought Silver would whip through him but Silver went back to good ol run around boy avoiding the fight like in the old days. When it comes to the scoring it deserved a 48/47 but in reality the score was a 49/46 and even worse the judges gave it a 50/45 which is comical.

Nick put on an epic performance. Even though I do believe he lost, there is no way it was 50-45. No matter that, Nick showed he still has that heart of a lion, and desire to win. Personally, even though the volume was not up there with some of his other fights, I believe Nick looked the best he has ever looked tonight. I desperately hope he comes back again, and with the rekindled drive he had for this fight. Oh, yea, and he strait clowned Anderson The Spider Silva, then made him like it....what. Wow is all I can say. I love Anderson, he is an amazing fighter, but he looked done. Nick was partially right when he said he felt he won. I mean he won the other fight going on in the cage. The one fans can't really see. The mental war.

The 1st round was funny to watch but fuck I got frustrated with this fight I wanted them both exchange more, their tactics seemed to cancel each other silva wanted to counter and diaz didn't open up much because silva was hesitant to move forward the only other times i got excited was when silva threw spinning head kick but damn its a boring fight re-watching it.

Diaz and his brother both are true warriors in the cage, they have both proved themselves over the years and have never got the respect they deserve, and when you watch the fight with silva it's very obvious that silva did not want to engage, that's why nick was clowning him, something silva has done many times in his fights, keep hating on them, everyone on here talking **** about them are people sitting on their keyboard talking smack, are just jealous or something, put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!!!!!!

+Brandon Borrie yep. nick and nate are the quintessential anti-company men. the only decisions they get are outright landslides. if there's ANY conceivable wiggle room they'll get fucked by the judges...a good 2-3 mins of outstriking their opponent silly gets negated by a takedown with no followup g&p damage

Nick is an AMAZING fighter regardless of what these haters say. He has fought all the greats in the fight game...Lawler, Condit, Penn, St. Pierre, Anderson Silva etc. (All future Hall of Famers). I would really love to see Diaz hit the weights and pack on some muscle. Then maybe change camps (temporarily) to improve on the diversity of his strikes and utilize more kicks and improve his arsenal of striking techniques. If he does these things he will go on a tear in the Welterweight division and see a revitalization of his career, similar to Lawler.

I do like Nick Diaz man, he is always an entertaining fighter, very ballsy and will fight whoever whenever. With all that being said and as much as he had done for the sport of mma in his career he just seems to me to always have trouble with top flight competition. If somebody can name to me a real top notch opponent he has won against i'll take my words back. I know he beat Takanori Gomi years ago in pride with a sick go-go but other than that he has always came up short against real elite fighters. I don't think he won this fight against Silva nor do I think he won against Condit like he claims he did but the judges screwed him. I don't know man he just seems like a guy to me that stays in the lime light because of his entertaining ability of running his mouth and being gutsy.
