Agreed, its rare. He has a way with words.

He's a great artist no doubt.

Why is there this childish need to negatively rate everything? This interview is great to watch, I personally wholeheartedly agreed with his approach to creative process. It made me think how just sitting here and whining how nothing comes to my mind is completely missing the point, because writing is hard work.

What a wonderful man

Does anyone notice in Nicks interviews, the interviewer askes his/her question and Nick yeah does answer them, but after a while of talking he forgets what the question was and he says "there you go, I don't know what your question was" or something like that...lol. I've been noticing that.

Just a gloomy kinda guy in a roomy trying to write ..the mistro who was shy drawing out lines of himself .took the rat out of the drain pipe and placed it on a bookshelf....I find listening to him talk ..such an inspiration and to see how far he has come ..he has my total admiration. .but then who the fuck am i..to comment on this guy.......thank you nick for just been you...

i'm do know nothing about interpretating drawings, but, how many people draw themselves looking side face?

I am a big Nick Cave fan. The interviewer was not prepared at all. At one point Nick had to suggest to the interviewer the next topic that they might possibly discuss. What a shame Nick Cave is a very interesting man who had his time wasted by this man that could have delved into so many topics of Nicks work, life, inspirations, family, etc..

I really wish the interviewers english was better, he's one of the best I've heard. Fantastic interview. Shit picture though, wunnit?

If you’re into natal charts at all, I’m no zealot just find it fascinating, it’s not surprising he isn’t in touch with his feelings as much. He’s only got one water sign 3x, secretive Scorpio, which explains a lot of his temperament too… But he’s dominated by a lot of Virgo (also explains why he’s so bloody good at putting things into words) and some air and fire… He’s got 5x earth (all Virgo), 2x fire, 2x air, and 3x water (all Scorpio)… I won’t get into the rest, if you know astrology you’ll know, otherwise it’s gibberish. Just interesting.

Eh, whatever. If Nick didn't need the publicity, he wouldn't do the interviews, but he does, so he gets to suffer through them. It's part of being an artist. But really whether or not the interviewer is a good person or is going to hell according to your personal scales of judgement is immaterial. I merely wanted to point out he's not French. Although I see you're a Seppo, so perhaps for you 'Frenchy' is a term to encompass all foreign-types you don't like
