Hmm... mine lost water(very slowly) due to flap not 100% close. Every few hours, it refills itself again and the cycle repeats without anyone using the toilet. Trying to figure out how to replace the (round) flap mechanism at the bottom.

If the tank runs out of water is there a certain way to refill it? Apartments water is off cause of weather.

We installed two of these toilets 18 months ago and one of them developed a small semi-flush every 15 or 20 minutes, all by itself. What does that mean is the flapper not sealing right?

Have been trying to figure out if sweating is a problem with these toilets. After watching this, it looks like very little water leaves the tank during a flush. If It's not getting completely emptied out and refilled with ice cold water then sweating shouldn't be a issue - right?

It’s the way the tank gaskets are aligned with the bowl. They have to be perfect and your washers have to be tight. The ones that secure the tank to the bowl. I ended up using pliers to make enough pressure. Took me a while to figure it out but now it works perfectly

My brother complained about the government mandated low flush toilets that always had to be flushed twice. Then he complained about the high price of toilets that are efficient and don't need to be flushed twice. Then I bought the Niagara Stealth for only slightly more than a competing 1.6gpf brand. Each flush is 1/2 the government mandated low flow toilets. Only ever needs to be flushed once. 6 months and no problems. And no, I won't bother to tell him.

This looks like a complicated mechanism compared to their first simple reservoir tipping system. Has anyone had this new Stealth technology toilet for a long period of time and what has been your experience on its reliability, durability and performance?

We've had two for just shy of two years, so far it has been be a champ taking all that is offered. On seldom occasion a second flush may be needed (GI issues here not a pretty sight). But even at the 2nd flush it's a total of 1.6 gallons, but the .8 gallon flushes the rest of the time still nets a great water savings. There has been no maintenance require, however we are on a water softening system here so I can't speak to the possibility of mineral buildup.

I've had one for six or seven years now. It has been very reliable, has required no maintenance, and works as well today as the day i bought it. Rarely do i have a clog with this toilet. When i do, a plunger is all i've ever needed. The only time a single flush hasn't worked for me is with a severe case is diarrhea. As with any toilet, placement of your "deposit" is key, especially thick, well formed ones. If it straddles the drain and ends up folding in the middle as it goes down (thus doubling its thickness), you can end up with a clog. Or if you use lots of toilet paper. About a year ago, i added a bidet seat, which significantly reduces TP use, and virtually eliminates TP induced clogs. Again, that's pretty much independent of the toilet in question. I like the Niagara Stealth so well, i was intending to rip it up and take it along with me when i sell my house. Now that i see it's readily available at the Home Depot for a reasonable price, i'll just buy a new one at the other end of my relocation.

Now I’ve had these toilets for 3 months now and I honestly don’t understand why this toilet gets so much flak from reviewers. I installed my toilet myself correctly, I purchased the stealth single flush 0.8gpm model and haven’t had a single issue in 3 months. I may also not have issues though because I don’t flush toilet paper down my toilet anymore to be fair, ever since I bought Toto c100 bidets and paired them with my Niagara stealth toilets in my house. In 3 months I’ve only had to clean my toilet 1 time. As far as the stain issue after flushing too and people having to flush more than once for the bowl to get clean, I also don’t have that problem because my bidet has a self cleaning feature the moistens the toilet bowl every time I sit down so everything slides into the water and is lubricated with water allowing me to have a waste streak free toilet. And if that doesn’t help then the regular use of the bidet does because that water falls into the toilet too lubricating and pushing down further waste into the water to then just be flushed down one time for a clean bowl. I was skeptical at first for the power of the flush but their system actually works and is very impressive. So definitely having a bidet replace toilet paper for this ultra high efficiency toilet helps. And probably installing it correctly as well. I also will say it’s not a waste of water at all when you look at the toilet, at least mine being 0.8 gpm per flush and my bidet using water at 0.1 gpm per usage. I’d like to thank Niagara for inventing an impressive product and saving me thousands of dollars.

Same. It really does stay clean longer and clogs far less often for us than a conventional toilet, and when it does clog it’s easy to clear. The biggest problem I had was getting one that wasn’t broken. The carton doesn’t protect the toilet very well, and if it’s been handled roughly then the porcelain around the base gets busted. Inspect before leaving the store!

@@skeepee I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully shipping gets better that is a problem I hear. I know my comment is a year old but I got the toilet in 2020. So I will say still toilet is working OUTSTANDING. Bidet paired with this toilet is outstanding! It's brought my water bill cost Extremely low compared to other things I had to do around the house for efficiency which goes to show most of my water usage were coming from my previous toilets. Bidet also saved me money from using toilet paper. Pipes have never been cleaner seeing what it looks like down there with a camera. Definitely best investment for my house. Only thing I will say is it does stain pretty easily if say kids leave pee in their without flushing overnight but comes off pretty simple with just a quick brush.

Just had one of these installed, and the flush is *extremely* weak. So weak in fact that it takes 2-4 flushes just to flush a single piece of toilet paper. It's doing the opposite of what it was designed for, and using way more water than your average toilet does.
