@@schrempskynate8944NHL wasn’t gonna change their mind. Mcdavid said postgame that the linesmen came to the bench afterwards and told the Oilers that the offside call wasn’t theirs, that the NHL room in Toronto told them to call it no goal. It’s blatant corruption and a coaches challenge wouldn’t have fixed it. Goaltender interference is too risky to challenge even though Hyman wasn’t in the crease so that’s why they didn’t challenge that one.

Draisaitl had control of the puck while crossing over the blue line. He kicked it from his left skate, to his stick. On purpose. Making a play like that takes extreme skill and is good for the game. Taking away a goal like that is not. The continued misapplication of the rule is becoming problematic, because the original purpose is for inordinate violations. Not close calls. (edit spelling)

Bad effort from the oilers, good effort from the hawks and the refs screwing the oilers made a game out of this one. Honstly, quite upset, that nobody on the oilers challenged that first hyman "non-goal". They need their video guy from the last few years back.
The general consensus with the Oilers amongst fans and the media was that Jay Woodcroft was not the problem and he never lost the room. With Jay Woodcroft the Oilers were 3-9-1. They’re 21-15-1 as of this comment. Maybe Woodcroft WAS the problem after all? By all accounts, the players liked him and believed in his system. They were wrong to do that. How does this happen?
The puck was already on the blue line before Drisaitl's right skate crossed it. It should not be offside. The rule said "only conclusive evidence can overturned the call on the ice"
