It’s a mental thing. No player wants to play for a Canadian team. Higher taxes, worse weather, worse country. Those things add up in a players mentality

I was better viewing as I opened the highlight video to full screen and watched for myself the outcome of the game and avoided the 'spoiler' headline. Caption may have read, "Both teams want it...Binnington and Hellebuyck not making it easy for anyone".

Same as Flames... Gave up 3 in a row in 3rd... Disappointing. Lot of trues but Binningyon a PIA. Scheifele (&Laine) seems to get a lot of chances but not quite finish.

Blues dinged the post a few times in that game. The sad part is, you guys cant score on breakaways. You've had way more than us and havent scored once cause you guys do nothing but cherry pick. Lol. I still think you guys have a shot though if you keep the cherry picking up and actually put one in on a breakaway.

Since a Canadian team is likely not going to win the cup for a long time (partly because teams like the Winnipeg Jets exist AGAIN) I think the Canadian teams should have their own award for the team that goes the furthest in the playoffs. They should do this quickly because it's only matter of time before the Jets move again. Cheers!

the Jets goalie is not much better.

I am a Canadian from Winnipeg but I am not a Jets fan. In fact I don't like any of the Canadian teams to be honest because each time I have backed a Canadian team, they have let me down. Here is a list: 2004 Stanley Cup Finals : Tampa Bay defeats Calgary Flames 2006 Stanley Cup Finals: Carolina defeats Edmonton Oilers 2007 Stanley Cup Finals : Anaheim defeats Ottawa Senators 2011 Stanley Cup Finals: Boston defeats Vancouver Canucks Canadian teams suck when it matters the most. I thinks the St. Louis Blues will eliminate Winnipeg Jets 8 the next game.

I cant watch this, its depressing. I think the blues are a tougher team than either predators or stars would be, if they beat jets itll be an easy run to the conference finals for them

Was at the game, so disappointed 😔

Series is absolutely F#cken rigged. Penalty that Blues scored first goal on was total BS. Jets should have had 3rd goal but Hayes get tackled by a Blues player and no call. The guy dove and tackled him? Like WTF. Blues second goal shouldn't have counted since Blues player took the net off and there was no penalty by Buff since he never tripped him he hit him which I thought was allowed in hockey? Then a non icing call on the Blues and they call one on Jets. There was also a point where Jets have puck going into Blues zone and there is a little scrum by benchs and ref blow it down for faceoff at center ice but make no penalty call, so why was it blown dead? We may have scored cause we had numbers.

Buff's hit/push on Sunny resulted in the net coming off the moorings. It's a good goal and crossed normal net positioning, the delayed penalty doesn't matter. Read the NHL rule. And are you talking about that center ice faceoff that led to the 2nd goal of the Jets? The call that brought the puck to center that was blown dead was behind the Jets net with Steen back there. I have no idea why that play was blown dead and it led to the Jets second goal of the night.

Heh. Same kind of goal that Russia scored in 96 world cup against Canada. And that wasn't allowed.. Good old Canadian homers.

Olof wait what?? I'm confused he's saying that the second blues goal was similar to the one Russia scored against Canada however it didn't count for Russia and did for the blues. Then he says something about Canadian homers but the goal counted against a Canadian team

@@Clubpenguin22 Same type of goal. And some how this time it counted but back in 96 Homer referees didn't count it for Russia. Simple enough? I think this was a good goal anyway. In modern NHL I think homerism in officials isn't a factor.

If you are betting on who will win the Stanley Cup, never pick a Canadian NHL team because they suck. Never pick San Jose Sharks or St. Louis Blues or Nashville Predators or Tampa Bay Lightning or Washington Capitals. or Philadelphia Flyers. These passive aggressive teams are hot during the regular season but choke in the playoffs. It was a fluke that Washington won in 2018. If they do win again in 2019, it is only then I will say they are true Stanley Cup champions.

nolla7 are you dumb biased or both? The ball was passed the red line as the net started moving that means goal, no matter what the puck would have gone in. Go read the rule 63.6 then you’ll see why it was a goal.

@@donc8879 the Schenn goal checks off every stipulation of 63.6. Buff's penalty on Sunquidst caused the net to come off. Scheen had already shot the puck, it was going in the normal position of the net

Jets are poorly structured. They have awful awareness in their own end. Quite possibly the most stupidest team in the NHL the last 20 years.
