After the 2002 Stanley Cup victory, when Pavel Datsyuk was passed the trophy, all of the commentators mentioned how he was a rookie, and that "he's going to do this again". That's how skilled he was!

It’s not all about points. Datsyuk easily could have had more points and goals if he played a more selfish game. The thing that was truly special about Datsyuk was how he played without the puck. He was probably the best/most skilled 2 way player the game has ever seen. Definitely will be in the HOF...without a doubt.

I remember being absolutely livid when Malone knocked Lilja's stick out of his hand right before the Penguins' second goal. Only Crosby's team could get away with launching the other team's stick 20 feet into the air at the most important point of the season, especially after being gifted a convenient power play.

I tell ya, the Stanley Cup playoffs are so stressful, especially the Finals. These games take years off of your life if you have your team playing in them. The Detroit Red Wings fans, and I'm one of them, have a lot to be thankful for from the mid 90's to the late 2000's. Six Stanley Cup Finals appearances and four Stanley Cup Championships, and each year is very special! Let's Go Red Wings!!

I grew up a Hawks fan. I'm 26, so I've seen some legendary Red Wing teams. And some pretty bad Blackhawk rosters. I always wondered what it would be like to see my favorite team be a contender year after year. The Red Wings in this era are the organization everyone is trying to model themselves after as far as success and on/off ice personnel. I was finally happy the Hawks and Hossa got a few cup titles.

Not like basketball and football where there's only a few guy's who have the tenacity to congratulate three winners.

Can't believe this was nearly 10 years ago. I was like 15. Times are flying lol Gosh thats weird to think about. But man, the wings in 08 were unreal! One of my favorite teams the wings had. They were so solid and Datsyuk and Zetterberg were in their prime! The wings had so much depth in their lineup. The D was amazing. Osgood and Hasek were awesome! It just couldn't get any better that season. And the following season was just as good but the finals was a bummer, it was shame datsyuk missed that whole series nearly. He didn't play untill game five or six I think. But it just sucked they went up 2 to 0 in the series and blew that and then won a crucial game 5 and won 5-0 but then lose the next two games Especially losing the final game at home. That was brutal to watch. I mean congrats to the pens! But back then I was salty lmao I think it's because I just couldn't stand Crosby and the penguins and back then a lot of people would agree with me lol.
