36 yr old dad here, and that scene gets me every time.

Fun fact: The phrase "blood is thicker than water" is actually a shortened version of the older saying "the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb," meaning that sometimes relationships you choose are deeper and more important than relationships with family members. So originally it really meant the opposite of what most people think it means today.

Not sure if that's fact and I've not heard of it, But according to history books they say this quote actually gets it's routes from a then famous medieval German beast fable (animal tale), one of the most prominent lines from it which in English said "kin-blood is not spoiled by water." that the bonds of family blood are not erased by the waters of baptism, meaning the character the line was referring to will have inherited his father's outlook despite having been christened. You can see this quote becoming a thing and evolving through time.. Blood is thicker than water! It's always meant exactly how it was portrayed.

Too many of us have lived this life, seen it as normal for way too long, and only recently come to the realization that it wasn't. Breaking those cycles is hard as hell but not impossible. We're living proof. If only we knew sooner in life.

once she blows out the candles if you look carfully it goes through all the same scenes of the little girl being neglected. but after she blows them out it shows what her wish was for her mom to be there cause she never was and that was what she wanted more then anything else.

I feel like there is 2 ways to interpret the end of that video and I don’t know which way I like better 1. She wishes that her mom would get better and her mom does which leads to all those happy memories but sadly the damage was already done and she couldn’t cope with the trauma that she already had or 2. Those rnt memories but her actually imagining how her life would be if her mom was there and not and addicts down in the dumps.

Well, after countless views, I just noticed her mom and dad were not at her birthday party before she blew out the candles….I knew from the first time I saw it she made a wish which I thought was to just be happy, but now I think it was to have her mom there, and to be present like cooking breakfast and all the other times she was “missing” which would make her happy🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Wait till you get to Running, the last track on the album. For so long the song that defined me from NF was Let me Go from the Search. But Running has replaced that song, I believe it's the best track on the album, but like all NF fans, it's the song that hits you in that special way that makes you say this is the best one. I'm a Christian, I don't mind you cussing, I don't think God really cares as long as you don't take his name in vain, which I have done many times in anger. What I believe is that God wants us to be us, no matter what form that takes, and call out the evil when we see it. Or stop the evel when we see it. So if you see a woman that you know is being abused by a man or a child you know is being abused, God put you there to stop it. To call it out, to bring attention to it. I see Jen in your YT shorts she is doing that, evil parents are abusing their children giving them sex offender chemical castration drugs, and Jen is doing God's work by calling it out. I think it's mainly that NF doesn't cuss in his songs. I'm with you though, cuss words aren't inherently bad. they're just really easy to use in a bad way but if we're mindful of how we wield those words then we should be good to go (we should be mindful of every word we use but cuss words specifically).

I love your reactions, but just be you, if you curse you curse. A couple of years ago NF came on his page and let his fans have it for berating others who curse. He said I make music for everyone, and so what if they curse. I know it's a respect thing and that's cool, but if you curse, don't sweat it.

Your daughter is such a beautiful soul. They got it right when they cast her. She has all of us believing she is living in a home where she is so used to the adults in her life being crappy that it didn't even phase her when they were full on fighting in front of her. Like it's her normal. We all want to rescue her. You must be so proud.
