I ride without brakes so i'm not sure why that would matter. I just really like the idea of a freecoaster without the slack since i love the instant engagement of a cassette hub.

@@brewberry3894 some of us just prefer being able to back pedal in order to reach/maintain a specific speed.. but i never said most wouldn't like it.. i sure wouldn't say no to one for free, seems like a great product.. i simply can't afford it considering where i live.. road salt alone has already destroyed three hubs over the past few years.. since i ride all year round that means lots of snow and all that comes with it, so there's that..

I would have loved to have seen the look on whoever's face when you mentioned the Venus title for the first time. I bet it stuck instantly! I love my BSD Revo. but this new Venus hub looks insane! HUGE congrats on your collaboration with Alienation. Proud of you! Just had my BSD Revo. put into my Eclat Bondi rim a few days back. The provided BSD NASA rim was fine but I prefer the extra width of the Bondi rim.

I love how it has a square shaped body on it and thee amazing part on it is it can be both free coaster and casset instantly that have got to be the best hub ever better than those other clutch hubs

@@Brant_Moore It means I respect your knowledge of anything and everything in the BMX world and consider you the real deal. I'm 62 and just bought my first BMX bike (Kink Whip). Your how to's and instructional video's for entry level riders are spot on. I live and work in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and have access to a pretty decent skate park. My riding skills have progressed thanks to your videos but I'm still at the beginners level. 10 year old riders shaming me on a regular basis. At least I haven't blown out a hip. Lol! I'm having a blast! So at the end of the day, thank you...

It might be a little bigger but it's 520 grams vs the 468 grams of the BSD

Looks like its heavy af. I know the feeling to be a part of design, but on aircraft engines. Good job man. I may have to give this a try. I am a Profile guy, but change is good. ... Just ordered a couple shirts. You have some awesome graphics.

It does look a little heavier than the BSD version. I'd be curious to know of the weight difference. It's probably minimal.

The difference in weight is around 50 grams. 520 grams on the Venus, 468 on the BSD. I meant to record something on weight and it totally slipped my mind

When they come out of production your local bike shop or Stacked BMX shop should be an option

looks good and alienation is usually priced right...but wow, it could be the camera angle but that hub looks beefy compared to the others

No idea on that front. If you wanted single speed fixed gear you could do a number of things to fix the internals. Would ruin the hub for its purpose but would work
