Been running with Altras for almost a decade. Throw in a couple of Hoka Mach5s, Saucony Endorphin Speeds 3s… but man, I did a run in My Gravity 11 this week, ended up selling my Hoka, Sauconys, and ordered the new Newtown Gravity 12, Distance 12, and Fate 9! Zero knee pain, I feel a wonderful natural flow while running and still able to hit a heavy leg day in the gym after a 10km running in my Gravities.

I have the same experience. Something about the run dynamics with Newtons causes less leg issues. I think it’s because it recruits more muscles of the foot and leg thereby distributing the load from the run better than most shoes.

Wow, I didn't think Newton still existed. I started my running adventure 12 yrs ago with Newton.

I was a hardcore Newton fan between maybe 2009 and 2016 until a physical therapist introduced me to Altras. I find Altras more comfortable now but still have one pair of Newtons in my collection...the Distance 10 which has been pretty enjoyable to run in though I haven't logged many miles in it. I do like their sustainability push. Would love to see more companies fully embrace that.

Ryan just discovered your channel. Appreciate your candid review as I ran in Fate model years ago. I liked the firmness and no BS neutral fit, but the lugs were not for me. Can you recommend any other brand models with similar "dense" midsole with low-ish drop? (other than Altra)

In a way, newtons resemble the feel of running on a trail but on the road. It’s like hopping off a rock with every step

I've wanted to try Newton's, but the idea that people SHOULD land on the forefoot is sorta outdated at this point -- a lot like the natural running stuff.
