eau Fraiche is not beast mode. it smells fresh, but it is weak.

YSL Y is what I’m trying out now. EDT is okay but its longevity is not what I’m in love with. When I get this sample sprayer finished I’m going to refill it with EDP. Hopefully it will give the performance I’m looking for and I can get a full bottle.

I have the entire line and I enjoy them all!

I thought it was redundant at first but after the third wear I got hooked.

Thanks for the great review. I encourage you to sample Y live, since you like the original Y so much. I own it, and it is great. Live is a citrusy version of the original Y, perfect for both daytime and evening wear, especially on warm weather. Hi from Puerto Rico. 💪

Y Live was my favorite from the line. It's a shame that they recently discontinued it. EDT is my second favorite.

Ysl is just bomb u can’t go wrong wit any of their fragrances

This is the only fragrence I've found so far that survives on clothes through the wash... 2 days later, and after doing laundry, I could still faintly smell it on the sleeve I sprayed it on. I used 3 sprays on the forearm.

I know jack about fragrances. But yesterday I bought the YSL Le Parfum. I walked out of the store, sat down on a bench opened it up. This was at an outdoor mall. I sprayed it and two ladies came about 30 seconds later out of a store and I heard, "oh my goodness what is that smell? girl that smells so good." and the other girl was like, "uhhmmmm huh dang". There was nobody around but me and them and I was like I think that's me. They came over and I told these two ladies I just was trying this new scent out and they wanted to know what it was and I was like, OK good purchase.

I love the Y line that Le parfum definitely next on my list. I like is you can have all of them and not be redundant i feel each one is quite different. But I have to say you gotta try the eau fraiche in the massive heat like 90 degrees then it really shines. EDP EDT and fraiche are staples in my collection

The only two flankers I find slightly redundant are "Y Live" and "Y EDP". I think you could go with one or the other of those and don't necessarily need both. "Y Live" (which I preferred) is discontinued now, so that makes the choice easy for most people. The others are all different enough from each other that you could reasonably own them all.

I get more of an Invictus aqua similarity from Atlantic. But I can also smell some YSL Y in there too. Good catch

I love smelling expensive, and dressing classy. 🌹

Currently i have edt vesion, but this new Le Parfum, i feel have less floral scent and more dark scent due wood and incense

Doy ou know if the EDT is too invasive like the EDP? I personally first time I tried the EDP in a store I like it a lot then I tried a decant of the same however I found it very invasive it's definetely a beast mode, however after the first two hours it actually made me sick of how strong it is was. So I was wondering if the EDT would be better balanced?

@@alainjairamador9313 It is a strong performer, the EDT. But it’s nowhere near as powerful as the EDP. I find the EDT much cleaner, lighter, and bright. Four or five sprays of the EDT and you’ll smell great for 7-8 hours. 4-5 sprays of the EDP, and you will choke out entire rooms for 10+ hours 😂

@@alainjairamador9313 Now taking this a completely different direction, but if you’re looking for a great performing, although not overpowering and nauseatingly strong, check out Guerlain. L’instant de Guerlain EDT or EDP, any of the L’homme Ideal versions (but especially the EDT), and Homme EDP are fantastic and usually can be found for a decent price.

I think you should wear whatever smells best to your nose regardless of the compliment factor...

Women love the Edp and Men love the EDT different preferences for the opposite sex, HOPEFULLY this helps also the Edp is a beast worth the bucks

I sampled Fraiche the other day and thought it smelled great but very similar to the edp. I still might grab it though cuz that bottle looks so cool

After a week I don't know what it is, but I've definitely come around to this scent and I think it's going to stay in my rotation. I even like the "bite" that the EDT has in the beginning. It's so strange that my opinion has changed this much in a week!

That Y edt opening is outrageously good. I wish it would stay that way during the dry down. Dry down is still good but opening is best

@@Rain_Addict0 Interesting, Danijel. I recently got Le Parfum as, what I thought to be, an upgrade to the EDP. The scent is my favorite of the line, but the silage barely lasted 30 minutes for me. I exchanged it for the EDT. The lady of the house likes the EDP, but thinks it's a little too strong, hence the EDT. I really wish Le Parfum had the same projection and lasting power as the EDP.

I have both to me EDP smells spicer, lasts way longer, Edt is like cotton candy sweet especially in opening but smooths out to a nice aquatic like scent

Y edp is the best bang for money.

The sprayer is not the same. It's much better on ysl le parfume. In my opinion, ysl le parfume is much better for me..

Is Y EDP a bit immature? I want a beast mode fresh scent but not something juvenile I have both Blue De Chanel EDP and Savauge EDP.I want something with strong projection and longevity blue but not sweet and juvenile I had Versace Dylan Blue which I love but it does get a bit boring after a lot of wears and i want something similar but stronger with higher quality. Would Armani Aqua Di Gio Profumo be better any help will be appreciated?

Club de nuit intense for men

Bowtie, how long does a fragrance last? I was told by a sales lady that they break down in a couple years. Is that true? I'm not talking about exposing the fragrance to heat and light. Just all conditions good and it just sitting there.

EDP projects more and has more of a green apple type sweetness. Le Parfum is Tonka bean sweet, doesn’t project as far as the EDP but is supposed to last longer.

Do you think it's worth almost double the price ? 3.3oz $150 vs 6.7 oz $170 BTW this will be my first Y cologne.

Le Parfum is better

The EDP really isn't as versatile as people let on. It's really cloying. I think I'll try it with less sprays next time. The EDT is just about the best gym scent I have. Really nice aldehydes/ambergris combo. I'm starting to think it's real ambergris in this one. The Parfum is better then I initially though. Just don't like the price tag. You get the linen like aldehyde feel from the EDT along with a bubblegum note(which I knocked in a $150 scent lol). When I tried it again I liked the way it dried down to a dark geranium scent. I quite like it now just not for the price. Eau Fraiche is spot on Frozen Lemonade if that's your jam.

The EDT is the most well-rounded, versatile and affordable but people let their judgments be clouded by the compliment factor of the EDP plus the push that the EDP gets from reviewers like Jeremy Fragrance. Thank goodness for reviewers like BowTie who lead with their noses.

The best way to tell if your cologne smells good is to go to an area where you can find different women like the mall or an outdoor plaza and ask women to do a blind smell test and give their opinion
