What a treat to have this video show up when I have the time right now to settle back and enjoy watching it! Drinking my morning coffee and knitting on my sock. LOVE that dress! Now, having watched all the video, I listened carefully to your plans for working on your wedding dress. The thought I had is to film a couple of minutes after each work session on it (and consider sharing them here), so you have a visual record of your progress. It is hard to remember the starting point once you reach the next ending point and having a video (or even a photo) may help. Always love hearing about the creation of this special dress.

Hi! Great podcast ❤ TIPS! reg. Weddingdress. Bribe yourself😉Set rule, that you have to knit on it for half an hour every day FIRST, before knitting on anything else (set alarm on phone), then as a reward after, you can knit on what ever you like for the rest of the day without feeling bad 🎉 Works great on all projects that are boring, either they get done sooner or later, or they stop being boring 🤣

Hi! Thank you❤️ That's a great tip! Especially to set an alarm! That'll make sure I remember each day😅 I'm going to try that!

for your test knit, I think the front cast on being a little looser will be just fine once blocked and you are wearing it. I hope you have enough yarn to make it a decent length. I'd love to see an update on your wedding dress, so maybe that will help you to work on it more!

I'll just have to wait until it's blocked and make my mind up then😅 fingers crossed I have enough yarn🤞🏻 I really want to see the wedding dress with a bit of progress too! Hopefully, this week will give me loads of knitting time

Hi! I don’t think you should worry about the test knit issue you describe. No one can see the front and back of your top at the same time (unless you are standing in front of a mirror 😊) so it won’t be noticeable I’m sure. It looks lovely to me.

That's what I'm thinking haha. The only one it's going to bother is me😅 and washing might help too! I really love the lace work! I don't think it'll be my last time knitting something with this lace work🥰

The dress look incredible, that color on you is sooo good. The dress looks like it could be so versatile too. You could wear it just casually, and then you could fancy it up with like a belt at the waist or something. I love it so much! I think the camisole issue you're having will be fine with blocking and wear (as some other people have said in the comments too), but ultimately I think you will need to block it and see how you feel from there to really make a decision 😣 I admire your productivity, Oline haha. It's been so hot here that I have barely picked up my needles (it's been consistently 40C here :c). I did, however, do some knitting while I watched this video, so thank you for the motivation

Thank you so much!!! It's really versatile! Both for casual/fancy and for warm/cold! I love it so so so much🧡 I really need to block the Camisole! 40°C is CRAZY, I wouldn't survive😅 I struggle to be productive if it's above 25°C haha. I'm really impressed you've done anything at all! Good luck with your mom's shawl!!

The color of the blouse no. 1 dress suits you SO well! I also think missing those arm and bust increases worked in your favor? I think the armhole on the blouse no 1. looks so deep, so maybe I will also skip a few increases haha

Thank you! I definitely think missing the increases worked in my favor! Both for the body shape and the armhole depth, but I do have pretty big arms, so it's just a bit tight in the sleeves😅

Hi I think it should be fine. Your back our bodies are flatter than our front. So I think it should be fine. If it was looser on the back and tighter on the front then I think you would notice it. Sam x

Do not frog your test knit!! It will relax when it's blocked and worn. Regarding scrappy projects, why not make a couple of Christmas ornaments. The little sweaters you made this past Christmas were so cute! December bows would be cute on a tree too. I think it's good to put yourself on a schedule for the wedding dress. That way you won't have to stress out at the last minute. Are you going to make a December bow with the white and the blue mohair for your wedding!! Hope you have a great week ❤

I hope so! Christmas gifts is a great idea! Thank you! I should probably start soon too if I want enough by Christmas time😅 I really want a couple december bows on the tree this year! I think I'm going to make matching December Bows for all the girls/women in the wedding party💙 Have a great week!

I found that with really soft skeins in the round. I rewound them before knitting as i found out the hard way it all fell apart and got tangled up.

@samanthaschlegel1863 I need to find a good winder then😅 I haven't had this problem with any other merino/soft wool yarn? Can it be because of the way they are wound?

Hi Oline, always a pleasure to watch your videos. The dress is stunning and I like your customizations of patterns! I have not yet tried Drops Cotton Merino. It is currently on sale and I was wondering whether I should purchase some skeins. I lost hope to reduce my stash 😅 Do you recommend it and if yes for which projects? By the way, I have just finished a zipper sweater for my dad in Drops Nepal, as the one you knitted last year was so nice. I am too starting knitting Christmas presents 🙃

Hi! Thank you❤️ I'd personally really recommend drops cotton merino! I've used it for the blouse no 1 twice (5mm project) and always camisole twice (on 5mm) and Ellens Cardigan (4mm needles) I'd say it's a good replacement for DK weight yarn! Zipper Sweater in drops Nepal is so nice🤩 Good luck with Christmas gift knitting😅

@@norwegianknitter Thank you for your reply! I have not yet tried to knit a camisole or any other summer garment, but I do really like them and it is best to have yarn in stash in case I want to cast on one 😆

@MariaMatita definitely great to have summer yarn on hand "just in case"🙈 I've also really enjoyed using it for more transition pieces for spring/fall because of the merino❤️

I am just about to finish the largest sophie shawl. I hadnt realised so much knitter. I have made it in a wool by lang. I'm pleased with it. It soft and not itchy. Perfect for autumn.
