    I love seeing how productive you are, all your projects are amazing, your wedding dress sounds like it will be beautiful and more special because you made it yourself.❤ Never worry about having your son making a noise, or interrupting, it is lovely to see how content he is. The parts where he sits and tries to knit are adorable. I watch all your videos with my knitting in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    Every week isn't as productive as this one😅 I'm really pleased I was able to all that done in a week! I think the fact that I'm making my wedding dress myself will make it so special! And I'm trying to make it a piece that holds all sorts of good memories for me/us❤️ I love that he wants to be so involded with my knitting. He wanted to help me film the podcast too🥰 Have a great week!

    It is a cool cloudy day here, perfect for knitting AND watching your podcast. Please know that I for one love seeing your little boy. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve raised my children and have grandchildren that the sounds of playing are calming and pleasant ❤ I’m going to swatch bamboo for a tank for my daughter in law. She’s in Texas where the storms have been so bad and the temps are 96. I liked seeing how yours turned out 😉

    The Alfred sweater is such a nice pattern, my daughter has made several for her two little girls, including matching ones in burgundy, so cute! Definitely think a yarn store visit is a good distraction for a toddler, how sweet that he likes to get involved :)

    Wow the turquoise is just stunning on you! My first blouse no.1 didn't turn out great thanks to yarn my yarn choice. I think I have to try again. I also really like the always camisole! Your son is the cutest, I don't think anyone would mind some noise. His little voice is so sweet! Fingers crossed for your birthday cardigan 🤞🤞 I have finally cast on my summer cardigan. Took my forever to make a decision (and many swatches). I am knitting the Maybury cardigan by Ami Lowden in two strands of Tynn Line witch is very different from the recommended yarn. I really hope this will work, its not the quickest knit. But super fun so far!.

    @@norwegianknitter I am more than half way through the body and so far it's looking great. I wet blocked the yoke and surprisingly it didn't grow much or at all really. Your son was great for that long of the period. Yes she had to take breaks but that’s OK. It’s it was just fine. He actually was very very good for that long of a period and I love all of your garments. I am a new Knitter and I think I could do that one and that would be great, it would knit up fast. I’m getting a show right now and my first pair of socks and I wanna get on the needles T-shirt type summer top or that sweater number one looks good. It looks simple thank you. I enjoyed watching all your knitting. It encourages me.

    Hey! In my experience, flaring with double knitting is because you're picking up too many stitches along the edge. Tightening them doesn't help and blocking actually makes the flare worse because stitches relax more. Hope this helps!

  • @norwegianknitter

    @norwegianknitter

    Ай бұрын

    That makes sense! But it doesn't flare along the pick up line, but on the opposite side, and the double knitting is tighter than the rest of the cardigan where I picked up, so I thought I could block my double knitting where it meets the cardigan, and that might help?

  • @yves6073

    @yves6073

    28 күн бұрын

    @@norwegianknitter i am curious if blocking helped you! The flare at the edge is in my experience still because of picking up too many stitches: it looks tight at the picked up edge but as you knit it will increase in volume at the other side. It is the same principle as making a ruffle edge. Hope it will work out for you! 🤞

  • @norwegianknitter

    @norwegianknitter

    28 күн бұрын

    @yves6073 I ended up frogging and knitting it again! My problem was that I was knitting too tightly close to the cardigan and then looser as I knit further away. Which made the button band flare. The second time, I knit as loosely as I could (with the same number of picked up stitches), and the buttonband doesn't flare at all now!

    I think you need to go down a needle size for the dk button band

  • @norwegianknitter

    @norwegianknitter

    Ай бұрын

    I used 4mm needles for the cardigan and I'm using 3mm needles for the button band. I think the problem actually is that I'm knitting to tight close to the cardigan, and in the right gauge further out on the button band, and the change in gauge is making it flare
