It is very enjoyable to see the customs of your culture. All the costumes were beautiful. I would love to hear more about Norwegian holidays. Your son is so cute when he tries to knit. He has a good example to follow. You are such a talented knitter. You should design. I know you do not always like following patterns, so designing them you could hand them over to a tech editor to calculate the sizes and help you format the pattern. I’d love to try your designs. No matter what you do, please don’t get burnt out. I would really miss seeing you on your podcast. Have you ever watched Knitting Traditions podcast with Inge? She is about 2 months out from the birth of her first baby girl and is from Norway also. She is knitting some vintage baby knits. I love your style. As always, love to you and your partner and son. Thank you❤️ I love our "bunader" such a pretty piece of clothing🥹🥰 I love that my son tries to copy me. He is si eager to figure out how to knit now, but his fine motor skills aren't quite there yet. I do really want to start designing! It's been a dream of mine for as long as I've been a knitter, but I feel like everything already exists😅 I think I'm going to give it a go this fall though, I'll hopefully have more time to play around with my knitting then🤞🏻 I have seen Knittingtraditions, she knits so many lovely pieces! You know, we as knitters tend to think we have to make all our gifts for people but we also can’t get it all done in very short timelines. It is OK to give a gift that is bought and you can always make a gift to give later. It helps take some stress off. You have so many projects on the go and several are very short timelines. You do accomplish a lot.

Yes, so true!! But I come from a family that values handcrafted gifts over anything else, so everyone who knows a craft usually makes their gifts my hand😅🥰 it's a lovely tradition, but when we have multiple celebrations close together and my time management skills are a bit lacking it can get stressful😅

I loved seeing your Constitutional Day celebrations! Amazing if you get perfect weather for those occasions. And the gorgeous traditional clothing! I assume costumes is the right english word but I don't like calling them that. To me the word costumes implies it is "fake" (like Halloween). Some parts of Germany have very strong traditions for clothing and celebrations too. Even though as a teenager I thought that was so not cool I now really appreciate if these traditions are held up and people are wearing their traditional clothes proudly. Fingers crossed you get everything done in time and can enjoy some more relaxed knitting after!

Thank you❤️ We usually get pretty bad weather on the 17th, so this year was definitely a pleasant surprise! Our traditional clothes aren't really meant for warm weather though, all those layers (most of then wool🥵) were very hot😅 I agree with you sentiment on the word "costume" in my language costume is only used for dress up, so it feels weird to call our "bunader" costumes. Upholding traditions is so wonderful🥰 I hope you'll have a good week!

I really enjoyed watching this video both life and knitting parts! it was very interesting to know a little bit more about the culture of your country since i'm not familiar with it. the costumes are so bright and beautiful! i hope that after meeting all deadlines with your knitting presents projects you can take some time to pace down and not be stressed. i experienced time when i knitted in deadlines but day before the deadlines i feel super unmotivated and even didn't want to knit and touch my project at all - what i mean is burn outs happen in knitting too, so we as knitters need to keep that in mind. so please take care of yourself and do not forget to rest enough! ☺

It has been such a lovely week, even though I've been quite stressed😅 I really enjoy folk costumes too! Yes, mine and my sons bunad is the Hardanger one!
