The delicious sourdough bread and the darling lambs with your dear son and the promise of so much pleasurable knitting no matter how much you got done make me feel so much joy. What happiness there is in such simple things and how rich it makes life. Thank you so much for sharing the joy with us and your sweater is starting out so beautifully!

Thank you so much!! The simple things in life often are the most meaningful❤️ We had a great day, even if I knit quite a lot less than I had imagined. I'm loving the green, it's going to make the perfect spring cardigan!

I've been admiring it too! But it's been so hard to find the perfect project for it😅 I'm so glad I've finally figured it out, and I think the Paul Cardigan will be perfect in that yarn!!

Your Sourdough looked great! I always think it takes a bit longer to start a new pattern. I think you made quite a bit of progress with a toddler and lamb visiting and everything. That green is going to make a really lovely cardigan❤

Thank you!! The start always takes me a bit longer while I get to know the pattern😅 It was such a lovely day, and I'm pleased with the knitting time I got done during the day and after bedtime🥰 I'm so excited for the green cardigan, perfect for spring!

We as mothers need time to ourselves, of course there’s chores to do as looking after a family is a full time job. I love your videos! As we’re approaching winter here in Australia you have inspired me to knit. Have finished two sweaters and very happy . ❤

Another beautiful vlog to warm my heart with joy early on a Thursday morning. Your sourdough bread is just as gorgeous as your knitting! So excited to see you using that green yarn - that will be a lovely cardigan. Please pat the lambs and hug your son for me.

Ooh nice! I used that same green in Flora+Kidsilk for a Sophie scarf and hat for my daughter and also in a Dala cowl (with light blue) for my granddaughter 😍 I knit a lot when my kids were little, inbetween times, naptimes and evenings and always got a good amount done 😃👍

It's such a nice green, isn't it? I miss naptime😅 Those were my best/most productive knitting hours of the day, but now my son doesn't want to nap anymore! But I do cherish the extra time we get to spend together every day🥰 And maybe in a few years we can sit & knit together❤️

I consistently overestimate what I can get done! My three kids are much older but they still constantly need something from me when they are home after school. And I always jump up to help 🙄 And the dog... And why does everyone want food all the time?? I want knitting to be my full time job. I'll even work for below minimum wage and agree to overtime!! 🤣 The green yarn will look fantastic on you! I am definitely in my green era right now. There are so many lovely shades of green 😍

Haha, I don't think the overestimating and children needing us will ever stop😅 It's so true that everyone wants food ALL the time😂 I wish knitting could be my full-time job too. It's been my dream job since I was 4/5yrs old🥰 I'm so excited for this green cardigan as we're entering into spring! Green is such a great color! Have you heard the saying about green: "What flower doesn't match its stem" 💚

As a mother it warmed my heart when you mentioned inability to knit due to son's clinginess or him waking up. Same here, and she is like in your case major reason I knit so much after all. Sadly we can't visit lambs here in this metropolis but we oddly have goats in our street :) sometimes I sit there and knit when she sleeps in her buggy. One big thing I wonder though: when and how do you manage household chores?😅 I often choose knitting over them as I can watch her and knit but not mop floors, etc...

I love spending time with my son, even if it takes away from my knitting time. It's my favorite thing❤️ But squeezing in some time to knit in the middle of it all definitely makes me a better mother! How fun and cool that you have goats in your street! To be completely honest, I don't really manage household tasks. I take care of my son, and I do most of the cooking/baking because my son can join me in doing that. But the cleaning ect my fiancé does, usually while I knit😅🙈

@norwegianknitter ahaha, I'm so relieved to hear. I also love to bake and cook but she's just turned one and I'm a single mum so I hardly get any cooking done. We mostly eat defrosted food or bread... knitting is such a soothing the brain and body thing to relax and also to make me feel like I'm still productive whilst not neglecting her. We also often watch your podcasts together :)) keep them coming! Much knitting love from Berlin.

@j.3069 it's really hard to get anything done at all when you're alone with a toddler!! Sounds like you are making good choices and priorities for you and your little! Having something to turn to that helps soothe and regulate the brain and body is so so important! Take care❤️

It's a beautiful green, will suit your colour and hair, similar to my colour. I love your lambs, so sweet, they are a favourite animal of mine. I would choose that green too. I finished my red tunic jumper and now knitting a light aqua cardigan for my Mum ❤😊

I’m currently knitting with baby merino and kid silk held together for the first time, and it really isn’t going smoothly😓 I feel like the kid silk just gets stuck and prevents me from knitting with a good flow… have you experienced this?? Btw, your son is ADORABLE🥰

  • @norwegianknitter

I've not experienced that before! Are you grabbing the yarn from inside the skein? I always do that for mohair. If not, it gets super tangled, with itself and everything else😅 Thank you❤️
