Active Info Display (Polo, T-Roc)
The Polo and T-Roc are the first Volkswagen models to offer the new-generation Active Info Display as optional equipment. The Volkswagen interface designers have consistently continued the development of the Active Info Display (11.7-inch screen diagonal) and the high-grade graphics system (133 dpi /resolution 1,280 x 480 pixels) and have taken the range of functions to the next level. The screen is slightly smaller than on the first generation and therefore offers better graphic performance, higher pixel density, greater brightness and contrast, more intensive colors and fewer conventional control lamps. Using a view button on the multi-function steering wheel, the driver can also switch quickly and easily between the three basic layouts.
Multifunction display
The multifunction display, a compact information unit, is positioned directly in front of you on the dashboard for your convenience and safety. It lets you see important information at a glance, without taking your attention from the road.
Active Info Display
Thanks to Active Info Display, you can enjoy the advantages of an instrument cluster with a high resolution colour display. With various information profiles, you can decide which specific data are displayed in the instrument cluster in addition to the usual gauges such as the rev counter, speedometer and odometer.
You can select this information profile quickly and easily using the optional multifunctional steering wheel: depending on your precise needs, you can access detailed Driving Data, for example, or show a visual display of your driver assistance systems. This means the display area can be even better used, because you can also show additional data within the dials.
In the Discover Navigation Infotainment system, you can decide whether you would like to see the navigation map in the Active Info Display, or have the classic view on the system display. With Discover Navigation Pro, both display options are available simultaneously.
Active Info Display 12.3" - V1
With various information profiles, you can decide which data is displayed in the instrument cluster in addition to the usual gauges, which include the revolution counter, speedometer and odometer.
Active Info Display 10.3" - V2
An upgrade of the Active Info Display V1 (above), you’ll have more options which can be altered through the infotainment system. For example, the entire infotainment screen can be used to display audio, telephone or navigation.
Virtual Cockpit - 12.3”
The virtual cockpit can be tailored to each individual driver who uses the vehicle, and can be adjusted by using buttons on the multifunction steering wheel. The system can be used to display a large map, and the zoom function can be enable without having to use Discover Navigation Premium.The cockpit has 16 different settings to choose from, but it can also be run in Auto mode, which shows the relevant driving information depending on the person driving.

I have t roc r line 2022 but she doesn’t have anything like on your display cruse control and map in the display please let me know if possible I can update I am in Qatar thanks
Does the screen show the number of the gear? I mean when you shift the gear, it is possible to choose the wrong gear for amateur drivers. That could be solved if the screen shows the number of the gear so the driver can be sure if he has shifted to gear 3 or 5. Thanks ;)

The review is in English, so it would have been great if you have changed the setting in the multimedia system to English as well for easier understanding .....

Will the speedometer screen project the android auto maps in that unlike in infotainment system..or is it restricted to default VW nav systems

It is very easy Joseph. In the multimedia system setting you have this option. I have another video with multimedia system from vw and there I show this as well. Check out on my channel 👍👍

@@SDADanCars I have searched through the videos, but can't find it. Can you share the link to the video that shows how to enable the Sportscreen (performancemonitor)? I have activated the SportHMI through OBDeleven, but it doesn't show up in the list where for example off-road modus can be selected. Help much appriciated!
