jp ch our weather destroys our roads especially side a & b roads. Pot holes are like ft deep it’s dangerous especially for motorcyclist drivers.

FACR DeathGrips I got my new golf R in March, and the dealership said there was no need to break the engine in with the EA888 engine. According to the VW dealership, manufacturer guidance specifically states that the engines don’t need to be worn in.

Kiran Payne Well when you open the owner’s manual you’ll see that VW actually recommends you be gentle on the engine for the first 1000km or 600 miles.

Overrun/Pope & bangs come once you’ve ‘warmed’ it up a bit, same with the Golf R.

TR hamza , the mk 7.5 gte on an 18 plate , even in gte mode there is a slight delay when you put your foot down, something owners would get used to because it still goes well when it kicks in

Still waiting on TCR down under. That red one with Akoprovic, yes please. Local dealer had a lapis blue golf R for $54,990 at A saving of ten grand fully loaded. Said no for now. My MkV GTI from 2008, still has my heart for now. 11 years on Tuesday 13/11 and 72,000 km. Cheers.

In reference to your comments about DSG farts and overrun: Both my Golf Rs seem to need to warm up before they will make more noise, the first 30 mins or so of driving and they’re quite tame, after that, they’ll pop and bang 🤘🏽 I’d love to see some videos of that TCR with akropovic exhaust!

I was gutted when I part ex'd my 69 plate Mk7.5 golf R estate, i pick up my 23 plate T Roc R up next week, I hope its as good as you make out on this vid pal.

I really like these and it does looks better than the SQ2 in my opinion. Love the idea of one of these as a second car for the wife. Although I don't like the idea of a her having a car that launches better than my GTI TCR 😄😁

Basically, just feels more ‘airy’

It needs a Miltek exhaust and stage 2 tuning.Then youve got a small pocket rocket.

Whilst I hate these little SUV's, when you get in them it's lovely to not feel like you're falling into the potholes in British roads

Is this car more fun to drive in the twisties compared to the cheaper and lighter Polo GTI Mk6 (current shape)? Granted, the TRoc R has way more power and straight line performance. I mean, driving fun in the twisties and smiles per dollars too.

I know it a master of taste...... but it's ugly as sin. However it DOES perform 🔥 Great video btw

The first 1000 or so miles are supposed to be run gently to allow the engine to be run in, if you don’t it weakens the engine in the long run. It’s fine if you’re only keeping the car for a few months or a year but 3+ down the line when this is for sale the buyer will have more issues to fix

Wooh, where the fire? Slow down and hold the shots of the car so we can see it. Looks impressive from what I could tell. Rear windows go all the way down, and no fake plastic exhaust pipes! Now if VW can just move beyond the sea of black on gray interiors.

Proper Rami car

Had a go in one last week. I wasn't impressed with the cheap interior plastics on the top of the dash/doors. The Cupra Ateca was actually nicer inside.
