The way my jaw dropped when she said I'm glad she died, definitely NTA, anyone who says something like that is disgusting

1:14 If Kayla was still alive, would he still be with her? Yes, she was his wife and the only reason why they aren't together anymore is because she is dead. And if the question was meant to ask if he would be with Amanda, the answer would be no because he would still be married.

Amanda has proven that she could only be happy when she has the op for herself and nothing else, that's beyond pathetic and ignorant as well and plus at least she can go with someone else that is single and start a serious relationship with him down the line.

@@lifeisamess8100That is NOT “normal woman behavior.” I can’t imagine doing or saying what she did. If I had a friend who behaved like that, we would no longer be friends. She’s CRUEL and extremely selfish.

NTA she needs to understand that she isn't going to replace your first wife, or replace your children with hers, which seems to be a recurring idea second spouse's seem to have in their heads. And saying what she did infront of everyone was very inappropriate.

Breaking up with your fiance ONLY because she says that would be a terrible move. But it seems clear that this one statement was not the only issue. Also, OP really wasn't sufficiently into his fiance to be getting married, so this is the best thing for everyone.

44 if op lives another 44 years. Wow He's willing to give up a whole lifetime of happiness and companionship with somebody else so, his kids can feel free in his house. And a lot of people praise him as a good dad for this sacrifice. Would he want that for his own kids? Is that what his mother wants for him? A lifetime of loneliness. Good luck with that as you watch TV alone and eat t.v dinners with your cat.

Homie, what kind of companionship would that even be? She tried her absolute best to run both of his children off, it's especially heinous that one of them was STILL UNDERAGE. Imagine someone you thought you were going to marry said they were glad that someone you loved dearly had died. Would you really still want to be with them? The way she nonchalantly though a half-hearted apology would "fix" everything and that she only showed a real reaction when he told her it was over are clear signs that she's a manipulator.

@larissagomes451 She said she was happy that the first wife died. In front of the first wife's children, sister and BIL. She was pushing the kids to leave THEIR home because she wants OP all to herself. If having her partner all to herself is so important to her then she shouldn't have started dating a man who has children.

The mother in law who the man told to bless her heart was 100% provoking the new woman. Her own bloody engagement party she need to suck it up and be reminded that she is only there because the ex died and everybody could not drop a ghost for one night and she needed to know her place she comes in 4° place as his loved one and priority.
