Well done to Andrew digging up 2 new examples of Thylacine footage. They're beautiful creatures. Tasmanian Devils too. They remind me of little English Bull Terriers.
Good to see this podcast is gaining KZread subscribers pretty quickly.

Right? I’m happy for them, they deserve way more listeners tbh. It amazed me when I found the podcast and saw the small numbers.
Great find. You guys gotta stop hating and bullying on the Peter guy tho. Every single video he is getting hated on lol. Chill

Look up parachute scientists. It's Forrest in a nutshell. Oh and Josh gates. But at least Josh is entertaining. Every place Forrest leaves he has a few less fans. And that's putting it nicely. I wouldn't of watched it only I'm hooked on the topic.
This has to be one of the best pieces of footage I've seen, glad to see it's been rediscovered. I live in maine and I'm planning on taking a trip up north this summer to see if I can find a live one out in the wild here, wish me luck.

@@legotia because it's a pretty rare animal to see in the wild even in its more natural habitat, and cases of sightings here in Maine, which is not known to have a really significant wolverine population, are extremely rare.
It's exciting to see how much international interest there is around Thylacine and its possible rediscovery. I'm from Tasmania (Launceston, to be exact), and you hear tones of stories from older generations of the flash of stripes in the bush, or especially sightings from kayakers and fishermen travelling along shorelines. To think someone from across the globe could discover such fantastic lost footage is just a credit to the possibilities of internet archiving and putting forward the initiative to have a red hot crack. I'm sceptical about their continued survival, but knowing how vast and untouched most of western and far southern Tas is, there's always the possibility. Keep up the work, Andrew maybe we can get you down to Tassie sometime in the future 👍
As a Tasmania this is the best footage of a Thylacine I’ve ever seen. Well done to this legend! Sadly, I’m not surprised. The museum just rediscovered the remains of the last known Tiger, missing for decades, this month.
The fact it took someone this long to find this on the internet just shows how big the internet really is

That’s insane that in the age of the internet that these were lost videos. Good for you, Andrew
This is awesome, a rediscovered piece of footage. As an Aussie i feel like i've seen the devil footage before that includes the tiger in the background from a 90s documentary. it might pay to have a look at the commercial tv station archives from Australia.
The sight of it really reminds me of that old like 1940s Pluto cartoon where Pluto goes to the zoo and then gets into different animals' cages lol
This gives me hope for all the amazing things lying undiscovered in archives online and in libraries across the world.
Awesome discovery! Seems such a nice guy too.
I was sad when I realised it was old rediscovered footage and not 2022 footage
Oh wow! Benjamin!!! What incredible and beautiful footage! His story, and death always breaks my heart, and what a huge loss to the animal world. And here, 60 years later what a gift!❤❤
Thanks for the vids bros
Congratulations on your find my Bruva great footage
I had seen that Tasmanian Devil clip did not realize there was a Tasmanian tiger in the background but I have never seen the second clip
*Mom: "Andrew get off of your f*ckin laptop and do some work or something." *Andrew: "oh my frikin God mom I've made history ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!"*
I would love to grow up and do what you guys do.
one thing that was not discussed here is that most of the footage that we have is of an old Benjamin. This is the same guy, but here he is a juvenile! That's a nice point to look at the old and the new and how he aged. Shout out to Cookie for that bit.
Great discovery ! Way to go bro!
Commenting for the algorithm. Keep it real fellas. Love the podcast
fricken amazing thanks for bring this too light fellas!
I knew nothing about the Thylacine till I saw footage of Benjamin on David Attenborough's Life on Earth in the seventies. Only 40 years after it had been declared extinct in 1936!. I just remember it's mighty jaws when it yawned and thought what an incredible animal it was but so sad to think it had gone forever. I've been fascinated by this beautiful marsupial ever since.
That second video is amazing! And very clear for its age. Wish we still had them around (or do we 🤔)
Literally brought a tear to my eye, what a remarkable creature. Such a shame they’re functionally extinct, hopefully a few persist!
Andrew seems like a cool dude. Great find!
There is a video of some guys trail bike riding in Tasmania and they found a thylacene skull, it was still white and had the teeth still attached. I would be interested in Forrest's take on if it was an old skull or a newly dead, a few years old.
I think you guys need to do a major gofundme or crowd source an expedition to look for thylacine, I would put up a decent donation personally to help with it and I’m sure a lot of others would too. As long as the money was used only towards the expedition, i’m very hopeful they are still around and the clock is probably ticking
@OliverQueen1974

Forrest has done at least 2 expeditions looking for the thylacine, maybe more. Would like to see more proper scientific expeditions though, but without recent, new footage that is almost impossible to debunk, it would be a hugely expensive expedition which would need to run into years rather than a couple of months or a few weeks.
Great work young man!
i saw Forrest on Rogan awhile back and I recognized him so I stopped by and I like this show I'm subbin'
Damn!! That is so dope!!! Well done 👍
Damn, thats cool.Only been watching a few weeks, and didnt listen to Forrest and watch them in order. Random!!! Loving it,wish i found this sooner. And how is Retep NOT the lead in a live action Mr Potato Head movie???
Omg why isn’t this not blowing up. Great news!

@Komodo dragon gr source? Not saying you're a liar but you should source info that goes against popular belief, every report most people have heard, wether it's the news or "experts", say it died from exposure

Great Footage of the Tassie Tiger, bigger News is a Lab in Perth Australia can Clone the Tiger Back, was on Australian News last week. But they should spend the Dollars on looking for the real deal than make a Clone. Looks like only Andrew's can find the Thylacine :)
Fabulous!
I'm lovin the Bro-ducer's garage mancave, which is where I am, myself.

This footage was commonly used in national geographic documentaries during the early 70's. I saw it in 6th grade at school.

What’s up fellas!!!
I find footage of thylacines so interesting ,but also very sad. Poor creatures eliminated from existence and living out its days in a cage. It's very unfair.
Just makes me hope there are still a few left. Apparently they may be able to clone them with some recent Gene discoveries. But finding them wild would be awesome.
@conormulligan7966
Жыл бұрын
Cloning them would be tough because youd need a host mother which when it comes to size and hunting style there isnt really anything like it, its not like a wooly mammoth or a mastadon which are quite close to indian elephants and could be birthed and raised by them. Not sure how this would work with the differrnce of placental and marsupial
this second clip might be one of the most exciting discoveries in thylacine history, until they are found of course
Awesome
awesome
Love you Forrest
I've seen this clip when I looked up Taz wolf in 2017 Edit: I like the clip that has the 2 thylacines together that's not featured in this.
Damn that’s cool

It's pretty easy to see the Tasmanian Tiger in the background and this footage has been known to us Aussies (At least those who search for it) for a very long time now we even watched it in school for a certain subject, but considering you guys arnt from Australia i understand how you've just found these great pieces of footage.
This is fucking beautiful

3 min in and I can’t tell if their being sarcastic or not 🤣🤣
I saw one in indiana 2008.
Court comment hell yah bro
10:42 like Neil ? 🤣🤣
I can’t help but be sad that so many people say thylacine now instead of Tasmanian tiger.
Bleak. Thought it was NEW footage of a LIVING thylacine. RIParonies
Forrest should look for nz south island kokako there is a $10,000 reward by nz govt. There has been a few reports in recent years but nothing concrete.
