G'day from Oz, in my opinion it's a red legged pademelon, the tail is short. If it were a wallaby the tail would be longer. Which also get mistaken for the tassie tiger because of the striped tail (rock wallaby in particular)

Trail camera date not incorrect, we'll maybe, but in Australia the date format is dd/mm/yyyy

That's the only way I've heard it used. Tubs = tubby = fat.
Pademelons do have a small home area and are somewhat predictable my partner raise a couple and when we released them they basically just made our small property there home area. I think we’re up to our third or fourth set of offspring. Also with them being predictable, when we moved into town we started realising that a female would come to our house go out the back and feed from just after sunset until around 10-11 o’clock obviously late in summer time.
Pademelons have a small home range of 500m. We generally get the same individuals at the same camera sites and rarely have them passing through (i.e. one photo) within their preferred habitat. As for denning, I'm not an expert, however I don't think they create them and have only observed them opportunistically resting in natural dens and within thick vegetation with high shelter/cover.
Australia the dates we order as day/month/year. As opposed to America it's month/day/year. Surprised you didn't work that out
As far as the date in the future , we go day month year in Australia:
As someone that often debates with people about ghosts and Bigfoot and UFOs etc. I found that their gullibility to believe in all sorts of unsupported claims drives them to insult anyone not as easily manipulated as themselves because they simply do not have any valid arguments to put forth on their chosen delusions. Its just the way they are.
It’s not a thylacine. It doesn’t have any stripes!
Neil reported one of my videos for using some of his footage turned me right ioff any of his claims and I am a Biologist in Tassie.
I'm far more interested in the picture of that refrigerator, Are You A Giant~!!!
one thing about the date is in Australia it is recorded day/month not month/day
I am taste the sarcasm in the title... Good ol murky waters lol
Forest , please please please let me be your internet"Foe dude". Great content! God speed.
Hahaha they even have the exact same shade and shape of hair on the rear end in the two pictures.
Incredible claims requires incredible proof. Would not hold up in a court of law.
Im curious what technology available should be used at this point. Right now these are no different than the Nessie pictures out there.
The IR flare has to be deliberate at this point. When I set trail cams I make sure to remove obstructions
Date on trail camera is correct, I think America is one of the only countries to put the month first and not the day.
Ok but complaining about him wasting 5 minutes before showing picture while you are doing the same thing is rather funny lol. YT demands 10+ minute videos so you benefit from stalling out the viewers. Love you guys honestly, thanks for the content!
Number one: How can you tell it's female with how blurry it is? Number two: If it's a Tasmanian tiger, how come it's solid instead of having stripes from the waist down?
As an Aussie (pronounce it Ozzy, from Black Sabath, not "Awe-see" pet peeve of Australians) never heard someone use, or be called, "tub". We use Tubby as a insult towards people we think are overweight, but not shortened that i know of... love the work guys, bring us back our Marsupial Predator
@Tasmanaut

we do use tub. Same as cobber is shortened to cob. It's more short and sharp, meant to antagonise rather than be endearing.
It’s definitely a yowie! Lmao
These guys get so excited over grainy photos. Lol they remind me of like, Bigfoot hunters, but based in reality. Just fun to see the passion.

I hope someone finds credible evidence. Imagine the shock worldwide.
The daytime photo, you can see it’s head turned right almost a complete side view of the face, it has long pointy ears. I think that’s how he made such a quick definitive identification of that one as a, whatever it was, and not a thylacine he wasn’t just going off of the but shape. The but shape he says was a thylacine I can’t see any hint of the head so I have no clue what other features distinguish between marsupials like thylacines and whatever the other one was.
@Imugi007
Жыл бұрын
They're both pademelons. A thylacine would have a much narrower hindquarters and the stripes would be a dead giveaway.
I like how he says he can clearly see the pouch between the legs and that the stripes disappear at that angle
I used to like Neil , but have gone off him now ! I'm IN the Facebook group and shared one of Forrest's videos (in all innocence! ) and I was surprised my post was not accepted! Makes sense now. ...

Surely the creature in the black and white image would be full frame at some point? It's direction of travel would suggest an earlier image exists where the animal is travelling right to left, and/or nearer the lense. Am I making sense?

Tubs is just another way of calling someone tubby
Peter is a Tub
Wait…most trail cams shoot video now. I’d bet that Neil character is purposely taking screenshots of the most ambiguous poses…all while he has actual video..that probably shows exactly what the animals are. LoL.
And if it was that animal you’d see strips on the home quarts and there is nothing
Wait, these tubs are famous now?? What is the world even coming to
what the hell. That guy is crazy to think that's even close to definitive evidence. so blurry and the face looks like it barely exists. that would be a fat thylacine.
Hi
In fact the picture of the one in the day thats not neils looks more like a thylacine than his does the thickness at base of tail, and neil instantly paddy melon YEAH NEIL WANTS TO BE THE FIRST ITS A COMPETITION
Dont like people who just want to profit from it or just want the fame from it Find the first one just to be arrrrh great they are still there for the animal not for themselves of fame and greed
Well if they do find one who ever I pray they do not give up the location cause there are Scientists and people who would capture and never take back.

Props the Neil for dedicating his life to helping the thylacine
As an Australian, the only thing I can think being called a "tub" could mean is that you're tubby or fat. 2 clearly very tubby gentleman if you ask me XD
I'm skeptical for one simple reason. The dingo...a invasive species...competes for the same resources and reproduces 6 times faster than the thylicine. I doubt there are any thylicine left. I have nothing against Forrest Galante or Neil Waters, however they also know there likely aren't any thylicine. They knows thylicine can't have as many pups as a dingo. They're problem is no TV network is going to make a series of episodes searching for dingos.

@@brendonwilliams6383 I must have missed where they mentioned Tasmania specifically. You are right that there are no Dingos in Tasmania, however there are a number of invasive species including wild dogs that would make it a challenge for Thylicine to recover in Tasmania or other parts of it's original range. There is however a fairly well funded de extinction effort underway at the University of Melbourne. I wish them luck..

You know what. Your all taking the piss out of each other like its a competition who gets a definitive Video photo whatever.. even after all this time people cant come together for a common cause and just get along.. Go figure its a mess
Waters reminds me of Cliff Barackman in how he has an extremely biased view on Bigfoot and only sees one thing rather than looking objectively. Barackman isn't as bad as Waters, but he still tends to lean one way. At least the Thylacine was a real animal that existed. Bigfoot, not so much.
