Bang for the buck, the new Tacoma falls short of it's msrp's. I've always wanted a Tacoma, but it can rot on the lot. Toyota won't get a penny of my money until they lower the price.

As a die hard Toyota for almost 4+decades, Nissan frontier looks more and more inviting as weeks go by…

Yell , there he goes. The new Nissan good and great and just what the Dr. ordered . You can’t go anywhere any channel without reading 3-4 comments without reading that Nissan is the best. Best at what, l don’t know, but it’s the best!

Hugo... lol! I dig the new Tacoma. There is too much hate on this new truck. Buy what you want . I appreciate the point of view on this new truck. I may buy one someday.

I like the look of the new Tacoma...especially the trd ones and the limited. Don't like the power train, price, gaps in panels, small back seat room, or country of origin. It's way overpriced. Falls short in being a great truck!

I am glad that you added the caveat “for me”. BC everyone is looking for something different. For example suspension: if someone is looking for smooth comfort look at a Caddie. Some Taco owners look for the fun off of road ability from suspension. Even I swapped for the 5100’s. Also the 4 cylinder turbo is a concern because I am looking for 10 plus years out of one vehicle. Like you mentioned before if it were perfect you would not have any content on the modding side.

I was at a rest area the other day and a white 24 Tacoma pulled in. I haven't seen many in my area and was trying to decide if I really liked it better. Then it pulled out and as it drove away and I saw the side and rear I couldn't get over how much it looked like a mini Tundra. Then, almost like a divine calling, a white Gen 3 pulled into the exact same spot the 24 just pulled out of! And all of my thoughts and questions were answered in that moment. Because I couldn't get over how much better the Gen 3 looked than the 24 that just pulled out. It was like wow! I saw the light, and the discussion was over. And when I think of how many more features my 22 Tacoma has over the same model 24, and for so many thousand's of dollars less, (like 6k!) I am even more glad that I got mine when I did.

Funny how everybody hated on the 3.5 V-6………until the turbo 4 cylinder came out. Now they all want the V-6 back. 😂

It’s human nature we take for granted what we have and then we lose it and fear loss makes us want it back again. Human emotions make no sense whatsoever it’s a freaking cluster of ridiculousness but that’s how we are lol

Looks good, new suspension is good, full box frame is great, 4 cylinder turbo engine is ok, technology- meh. All of this should have come with a $2,500-$3,000 increase over the 2023 model. Toyota screwed up with the insanely priced option groups. My 2016 Tacoma was approximately $2,500 more than the same optioned 2015 model and adding every option available to the TRD OR added $4,700. It came with a $300 tow package and $2,400 for the Prem & Tech package, $600 bed cover, $60 mud flaps, $350 side steps. I didn't get the JBL stereo for $1,000

Wll never trade my 2024 in. It rides smoother than luxury autos and gets 28mpg hwy @65mph. Also where is the evidence it won't last 250k miles. Nothing but speculation!!!!!

You have to compare Toyota to other manufacturers similarly equipped trucks. Its 6k-8k more. That's impossible to justify.

The Tacoma TRD sport with the Premium Package is worth it! The simple 4x2 not worth it!

I guess it's all up to the owner,, if he's satisfied with the 2024 then more power to him. Thats all that matters.

I'm sorry but you can keep the tech just something else that's gonna break doen the line and as far as ride my toyota trucks have gotten smoother over the years and my current truck with the leaf springs and cheap shocks rides fine I'm quite comfortable I'm not saying the new suspension isn't awsome but I have and sr and I would get leaf sprigs anyway and I really don't understand why the motor the same in all of them but they tune downtrend horse power and tourch plus the 14000$ dollars in the price I paid for mine it seems mine came with alot more extras the 6 foot bed and the suicide door that makes it so easy to load stuff in the back I have a sliding back window and you just can't reach it from the front seat so the power back window would get use but being manual I would probably forget to close it still comes in handy when I pick up 8 foot lumber I hate having stuff hanging on the tail gate.

Did you ever tune your 3rd Gen? That more than likely would have gotten rid of the lag you talk about and give it more pep.

Tunes are for the track. Pedal Commander is the way to go. Simple plug and play and you can change the settings yourself.

@@RobMotive I have to say my 2023 SR5 4X4 V6 runs with really no lag. 23+ mpg highway, 4000 miles on it , oil changed last week.

Vehicle presence, know what you have, where it is, and how to put it where you want it to be. 🫣

Didn’t your dad tell you not to buy the first year of any car?i would bet my 2022 SR5 v6 rwd access cab will.beat your 2024 taco on mpg and quarter mileage

I doubt it.

It's not the price or that it only has 4 cylinders that bothers me, BUT, and I know it's just my opinion . . . I think the interior is just ugly. That screen looks like a cheap after thought. I love the new look of the Colorado and Silverado. It just flows nicely.

And you prob took a good hit on your trade in.

I love my 2020 off road but I'm sorry the 2024 just isn't a good buy you lose so much. The rear window doesn't open, you lose power seats on some models the infotainment center is horrific looking, those bezels look like 2019 they are insane the glove box is so loose and bangs around when off road, also it's so much more money. I really hope Toyota fixes this.

You can't even get a v-8 in a full size truck
