Hey Cave, it's a must have for me. Spraying out of a spray can with easy clean up is really cool. The outcome is remarkable! Now I wonder if we can clear coat it, right? With the Molotow, there was no way to protect the shine.

15 years ago I would take on that detail job - no more. I watched a comparison video on the spray chromes and bought 2 cans of the Revell and man was I impresses! Not easy to find and pricey bit well worth the price. Haven’t touched the molotow since! Havr fun!!!

Hey Steven, I'm still gonna use the Molotow pens for minor touch-ups, but as far as spraying, the Revell Chrom is superior!! I'm hooked.

Chrome is always hard to reproduce with paint. Starting with a gloss black base coat is a key. I have tried many different "chrome paints" over the years. I have gotten the best results from a model paint called "Alclad". It is meant for use in an airbrush so there is that. This stuff you are using seems to work quite well and is much quicker and less trouble than an airbrush. Jeff, I like what you are doing with your channel. The body giveaways and contests are great ! It's clear you really enjoy the hobby Jeff, the super cool thing is, you also get enjoyment from seeing other people have fun with the hobby. Sharpie has a new product out called "Creative Markers". They come with either a solid point or what they call a "brush point". They contain acrylic paint rather than ink. The vids I have seen so far, shows them to work far better than standard paint pens. The paint flows much like ink but is not "see through" like sharpie ink is. They are made in every color you could want, though I don't think they do silver/chrome, more research needed. I think these may have a fine enough tip to do some really nice pen striping and other accents. you know, like red stripes on a Batmobile for instance. I am going to order some in both tip styles. I will update you. Have fun Jeff, love ya man.

Chris aren't you supposed to spray that over gloss black paint for best results?

Hey Chris, that's what I have seen regarding the Molotow Chrome paint. After trying that, as you can imagine any extra paint coats you start to lose the finer details of the piece you're working on. Now, I have not come across any information regarding the Revell Chrom paint having to have the gloss black undercoat. So, this comparison was done both on the same white plastic and the Revell Chrom won hands down. Thanks for comment Chris, see ya!!
