I got this watch 1 month ago it offers a lot of value for the money great movement ceramic bezel sapphire crystal 200 meters water resistance and the bracelet is better than usual that comes on Seiko watches I have a 8in wrist fits me perfectly I’m ok with the office gmt because I don’t travel much get this watch it will not disappoint.

The MM200 case style is one of my best sellers for good reason. Just looks and wears so nice. Great video as always!

Great review. I have the black dial 383 and love it. Not sure why people care about traveler or desk GMT. I think it is one of the best looking divers of any kind with the case finishing being as good as ive seen. If i did have a gripe, it would only be that the GMT hand is not perfectly aligned on the hour lol! (It is at about 7 mis to the hour) i know thats a reach but this is a decently expensive watch, at least for me.

Love the MM200 case. My favorite Seiko dive watch case. However, 1500 is pricy for an office GMT and a not so elegant clasp. CW Trident 300 is better. Will wait for more GMT options with the miyota GMT movement - areal traveler GMT.

Thanks for the review. I have the 383. I love it. Looks great on my wrist. So far no issues. I travel a little not a lot. The GMT function comes in handy. No issues. I get many compliments on the watch. I also have the SPB 183. Love that watch but this one beats it all day long.

Seiko always has a very beautiful design for all the dive watches in their series, I have an entry model King turtle, got all the DNA, only the downside is that very basic +/-30 sec /day 4R36 movement, besides all the bells and whistles like sapphire crystal with candy magnifier window for day and date, ceramic bezel, grenade looks dial, screw down crown and the Seiko signature silicone strap. .. make the watch looks really like a king 👑

Hi Chris, I love this higher end Seiko GMT watch. It is a bit overpriced, but discounts will come into play. Also, I think they need to put a calendar in it with a better position.

Buy the Limited glacier blue it is beautiful i got compliment on how unique and beeautiful it is. This watch wear smaller than the spec.

Black is by far the best,love this watch!

Just got a Prospex king Samurai great blue myself. Bought a nice bracelet for it and couldn't be happier with it. No immediately visible dust under crystal unlike my Movado.

Chris, the military GMT you were thinking about is the ETA 2893-2. My question is that I’ve seen other reviews claiming the 6R-54 is a 4 hertz movement, not 3 hertz. Is that true? Great vid & Thanks!

The pressed dive extension puts me off. All these do is look cheap and dig into the wrist. Please leave them off, Seiko!!

While a travelers GMT is cool it does have its drawbacks. An office GMT is more than good enough and it has a quick change date which I prefer.

Looks great but as others have pointed out, the movement, clasp, and bracelet do not equal a $1,500 watch. I'll wait to see what these do in the used market.

I would have liked to see the caseback in here. Does this have an exhibition one?

The look great but I have no need or interest in the GMT function. I’d love to see a standard 6R35 MM200 version with the upgraded ceramic insert. I like the SPB185 but never pulled the trigger.

I have the 383. I wish the AD had the green to show me. The video, unfortunately, does not show the color very well. Also, I must say that I have the Mido Special Edition (red/ blue) GMT, which is a true GMT which costs about the same. Had Seiko released this watch as a true GMT, it would have been an absolute home run, IMO.

Great looking watch but an office GMT at this price will only be bought by those who haven't heard of the Miyota 9075. If Seiko don't close this gap soon Citizen and those brands using the Miyota traveller will monopolise the affordable GMT segment, maybe even sneaking some of the slightly higher tier market too.

Never understood the GMT idea. When i travel I just change the time to that area…It takes a few seconds.

that gmt hand makes me nervous. without it the watch is perfect. if they release one without gmt i may buy it. :(

$1500 for a caller GMT, with pinned links. BUT they do give you a Safire crystal….it is a good looking watch though.

Why? Not a single Seiko watch that I have owned has a clasp that has failed. Not even the ones that are 20 years old. Not even the gen 1 monster that I wore for 8 years straight. I keep seeing people suggest this, but honestly it's not broken so they don't need to fix it.

@@jodysilvia2wear your watches with about 1 finger gap through at the bottom… my wrists swell significantly throughout the day as well but wearing it slightly loose really helps.

Seiko diver GMTs are such handsome watches. Honestly hard to beat if you don't count micro brands. And sapphire on a Seiko is always a win #hardlexhater

Everything is good for this model ..... except for the lume. 7:51 I disagree - even the humble turtles have better and longer lasting lume than this.

Nice watch but £1,600 in UK, sorry but bought a Stienhart £600, bargain,

No for $1500. If the $350 Seiko 5 GMT had 200m WR, and sapphire it would be a better watch than this.

@@SBK27 because you can buy watches (alpinist) with exactly the same movement for 300-500 less where's the extra value coming from? the materials are basically the same, the movement is the same.

The GMT looks like an after thought that is hard to read. The movement is not worth the price due to the lack of accuracy. The bracelet is very poor for the money and lacks screws. The QC on these us no better than the other seikos. The QC issues have spread to grand seikos also. There is a lot of far better watches out there. This is is more like a Seiko advertisement than an objective look.
