It's like a millisecond difference, even though it wasn't way up in the air, it was still of his fingers so it counted but its probably the damn closest you'll ever see.

It depends on which clock you look at. The basket one makes it look like he’s a millisecond too late. The scoreboard one shows that it’s good. Jesus Christ that’s so close you can literally make an argument for either team. I think it should count tho cause the scoreboard clock to me has always been the one to look at.

If you press the period and comma keys to go between the 39 and 40 second mark, you'll see that the ball is in the air right when the red backboard buzzer light turns on.

I slowed the video down to .25speed. Even that show is hard to tell but it looks like the clock ran down about a thousandth of a second before it left his hands. That close

+Joe Scrivano The problem is that the board and the buzzer are not synchronized, but it was very close...

If you atsrt counting one one thousand, two one thousand.....from the time the ball touches a player in bounds, he didn't get it off in time

I bet y'all are here from JxmyHighroller's new video lol. But if you use the keys to go frame by frame you can see there's a slight difference in the clock above the backboard and the scoreboard on the wall, it depends on which one you look at. Even in max hd it's hard to see but in my opinion it seems like it was out of his hands.

it was the way the video was edited made it look like he was shooting back at the Inbounds basket. So the Inbounds passer was the one who made the shot after the ball was thrown up in the air. They must have called a timeout and then tried to run a play but it was broken up and then Inbounds passer dude sunk it.

Nah he shot it too late. It was 0.2 when he got it and red before it left his hands. NBA says no catch and shoot can happen that fast. Should have never had the opportunity so it’s the others teams fault they lost anyhow. Goes down as a win for NR.

Definitely did not get it off in time. Freeze the video at :40 and his arms aren't even past his shoulders and the backboard is lit and the clock reads 00

Nope, extremely small fraction, but it was still on his finger tips. Whatever they called on court they have to stick with...way to close to change the call.

Watch the clock not the backboard. I believe someone said it below in a comment that "the backboard and clock are not in sync." It's a bit fuzzy, but you can see that the clock was still running when the ball was in the air. He releases at .3 seconds and as the ball is in the air that's when you can really see the countdown still in motion.... .2 then .1 swish!!! If you're going by the backboard he still has possession of the ball, but the backboard light is not the official time keeper in THIS case. They need to get that $#*% fixed. Hahhaa cause they could of robbed the kid of possibly one of the greatest buzzer beaters.

No one answered your question in seven years? The refs got together and determined it counted.

I'm glad the refs got it right but they should have been able to check the replay

They should have called it a tie .....and given all the kids (and the managers too) trophies.

Why would the white team even take a shot? They're winning, you just took possession, why not hold the ball to kill the remaining time and force them to foul you? I think the player panicked and lost them the game.
