NEW RETRACTABLE RODS | ONYX QUICKDRAW RANGE
Спорт
The new ESP Onyx Quickdraw rods are available in a range of popular lengths and test curves. Light, well balanced and responsive the slim high modulus blanks feature a traditional unground finish which gives them a nice ‘old school’ look.
The high quality, lightweight stainless guides comprise a 40mm butt down to a 12mm tip. The full length EVA handle features a DPS reel fitting with anodized butt cap and collars. Subtle decals and a small ESP logo on the line clip whipping complete a nice understated look.
Excellent casting capabilities of 100m+ while still retaining forgiving playing actions and the compact size makes them ideal for tight swims and smaller vehicles.

Esp and the drennan super specialist gear,is some of the best tackle i've seen in year.Good forward thinking company....
I've been angling for over fifty years, long before I was carping I was using Pete's wagglers and hook patterns as a young man, sorted one of my bags just last night 80% of the terminal tackle still esp, keep up the good work guys🙂
Next level Stuff, I like it, good work E.S.P. crew
I’ve got your rods I love them
I have all your luggage I think it’s great kit for 12ft rods I would love to see a full padded rod sleeve for that version I would buy it tomorrow
Hope this paves the way for a Drennan Specialist version in a nice 1.5lb test curve. I'd love to just have one setup for carp and specimen fishing, just swap out the rods and reels(or even just spools).

Might be a bit too niche for the mass market but would be a great little rod for what I do.
Nice
My question is if I was to use the 3.5tc rods are they good for casting up 110 yards ad would they handle 4oz leads or would it be better option to go for the 4.5tc I know in time the carbon will get softer but it was idea I was really considering for travelling light aswell as I don’t see my self casting any further then that meany thanks hope to hear from you soon
I bet a certain Mr KN never thought retractable rods would take off so much.
Lovely looking rods can you use braided main lines with the stainless steel guides

Yes, absolutely
Look so much better than the JRC
The price for the esp kit is great
Any plans to do a lighter version, say 9ft 2lb or 9ft 2.25lb?. The only people I know of who currently do this are Nash.

Was thinking the same. 3lb in a 9ft rod is too stiff for my liking. Currently using the Diawa Powermesh 9ft 2.75tc and they are the best rod I’ve ever used for my everyday carp fishing. Would be interested in the quickdraw but not at 3lb tc.
Hope thay may do a 1lb 3.oz 10 ft word be a nice specialist Avon. It word be nice if someone word make one as there my be a market for it.
Release date for the landing net? Can’t find anything online except the rods

Did you find this out in the end? I have scopes but think I'm going to get the ESP spod as it's £100 cheaper. ( If it fits in the scope rod bag )

Would also like to know this!
Was in the shop today. Would of had a couple of these if there were a lighter model. Ended up with a couple of extractor’s in 2.5tc. I don’t understand why people would want a short broom handle rod. Compact boat rod? Don’t mean to be so negative. The quality of these rods looked great 👍 just a bit pokey for me.

Broadly speaking, 2.5 is perfectly “up to it”. I can’t say for 18lb line but I had no problem yesterday chucking a rig with a small PVA stick to about 80 yards. I was pleasantly surprised if I’m honest. I tend to fish short to medium range but if I need distance then I wouldn’t be using an 8ft rod of any TC. As you probably know, there’s more to a blank than TC. I would say that they are good value rather than cheap. I own/ have owned custom Harrison and Century rods in the past so I am unbiased on this topic. I can only speak from my own experience but I cant see me using my other rods much at all now. Have you actually seen or used the extractor recon rods?

There is a large quality/spec difference. Our blanks are very high quality, we have a full EVA handle, minima style guides. Compared to brands with similar spec rods our price is very good. Happy fishing 🎣
