I have had it for a year now and going back to my old rucksack .esp rucksack is too top hevvy all it wants to do is fall over when put down .so the top box dose not really work

Ive been looking at these as I like ESP's stuff....Think i'll be keeping my Avid tuned ruckbag for the time being.

Can the Korda tackle box fit in the rucksack? I'm also thinking of using the top pouch for delkim standard plus models with snag ears and a quick release adapter from a fox black label qr bankstick, do you think they will fit.

Hardly any padding on the Bottom of the Mat an two clips underneath which you can feel through the mat!! Strangely there's more thicker padding in the Sides! An when Drawn Up if a lively fish went for it! It would probably just push the Wall down. The Drain holes are Mild steel an Rust! On the plus side its light. Ok. For river fishing but not suitable for stoney banks. Only use mine now for Piking!!

what jumper is that?

Used this rucksack for a few sessions now and I’m incredibly disappointed with it. As a stand-alone bag, it’s uncomfortable, it sits too high on your back. Add on the tackle pouch and it’s so top heavy. Wouldn’t want to walk more than a couple of hundred metres with it. Who’s carrying 14 banksticks? That space could have been better used. And you can see Elliot really struggling with the snaggy zips here; that’s the same with mine. I had to buy a bag sight unseen off the internet after moving back to the UK and definitely regret not getting a hands on with this first.

Totally agree 100%, the bag sits ridiculously high on your back and as I’ve said elsewhere, if you undo the shoulder straps to lower the bag, the chest strap will obviously rise up and cuts across your throat. The design team really need to give their heads a wobble with this one I’m afraid. I should say I’m a massive fan of esp & the concept is bang on however the final product doesn’t work. I purchased both the bag and the mat & sold them both at a loss rather than use them, the mat was almost as disappointing as the bag with regards to the side walls being all but useless however it can be used as a flat mat so gets a point at least.

Ive been using this rucksack since release and haven't seen any of the issues you guys have mentioned, rucksacks are meant to be high on your back as thats the safest way for your back... The only thing id agree with is the top heavy part but then again all my leads live in the top pouch which doesnt help
