Here it is, our review of the all-new Range Rover!
The Range Rover has always been seen as pretty much the pinnacle of British SUV craftsmanship (no offence, Bentley Bentayga…), but the question is, does the latest generation live up to the quality of the last iteration?
Well, it’s time to find out! Mat’s joined forces with Yianni to put the new Range through its paces. In terms of cost, it starts from around £99,000, jumping all the way up to £180,000 - so what do you get for your money?
Well starting with the design, it’s so much smoother and sleeker than before. From the front through to the back, this is one SUV that’s done away with the creases and curves, but one which thankfully remains unmistakably a Range Rover! Around the back, you’ll find hidden lights which are integrated into the car, along with flush door handles on either side and an all-new grille design up front.
The quality continues on the inside, too. Sure, it’s maybe not as luxurious as a Bentayga, but it’s still built to a high quality! The chairs are super comfy, and there is a whole load of storage to be found throughout the cabin. You get a big infotainment screen up front coupled with some physical climate control buttons, and of course, it comes with a digital dial display.
In terms of engines, there are a number of petrol and diesel options to choose from, with the range-topper being a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can deliver 530hp!
So what do you think? It doesn’t come cheap, but has the new Range Rover reclaimed its SUV crown? You’ll have to stick with Mat and Yianni to see for yourself!

How much aftermarket product does the screen look like? If the thief comes, they can steal and escape in 2 minutes. Embedded screens look better quality.they can use the design from the e series as an example

Yianni is probably the type of guy who doesn't pay attention when he's taking delivery of his cars. He's just like "yeah sure, I know..." and then drives of wondering how to open his sunroof. But I feel like we need more of this type of reviews. Great fun!

He actually works with the cars, doesn't just talk about them, that's why... When you change your cars more often than your socks, do the specific stats really matter? He just wants something that makes a V8 grumble and goes fast, pretty simple.
This is like new Top Gear. Jeremy, Richard and James. Those little banters. This was fun to watch. Want more of you guys together on these reviews.

The claimed acceleration time is with the smaller factory wheels. Adding larger rims effectively gears up a car making it slower. Had the wheels been the stock size. You likely would have gotten much closer to the claimed 5.8s.

Where I live, I always fit the external sills to allow for the slight rolling down of the windows so as to not cook the car interior.

The larger diameter wheels will have impacted the acceleration time - you should compare to a standard RR to see how much.

This was such a stellar review of the Range Rover... Astonishing job Matt, you always deliver...!!! However, having an extra pair of eyes made this episode special... I've always loved the energy both of you have in your drag races... And this made it even more sense as Yianni is a regular driver like most of us, and seeing him experiencing the things you keep saying made it hit home... Case in point, the roundabout turn with the rear wheels turning... Loved it!! I also loved seeing you being chauffeured by Yianni again, I remember you being in the back seat while he raced in a drag race in a BMW I reckon... I love the work you guys do, and when I visit the UK soon, I hope to meet both of you... Take care..!! We Love you from Kenya...

The two launches without dynamic launch (uphill/flat) tells me it has good low down torque. I like having Y.C. in his car for the review. Great job on the wrap‼️
As a range rover sport 2020 owner, i ve never understood the complaints about the climate controls, which are super easy to figure out, and it s the same for the buttons on the steering wheel, no problems there either. Whenever i hear Mat say these things i can t help but think he's complaining just to say something negative, because they are not real inconvinences

Yeah for u are super easy because u drive it everyday and its yours, but if u just get in the car of course they are not easy to figure out and will take u lot of time. I drove my friend car for 3 days because my was in the service and for 3 days i barely understood how his climate system works.

Also, as an American in many areas, we don't wish to sit and play with our temperature controls for 30 seconds at a time. Should be able to be done without much effort going down the road.

What about the complaints that engine and transmission go out before 10k miles
If I had to guess, the larger rims, thus larger overall diameter of the wheel, might have affected the acceleration. Both in weight and final drive ratio being put to the ground.

Along with the side step which can cause drag and extra weight from the wrap. Oh and don’t forget the extra passenger.

Pro Tip - You can program the auto stop/start to the diamond hotkey on the steering wheel for one touch disabling of it.

Any idea when you will be reviewing the Range Rover Sport? Been looking into it and am currently holding off until I see a full review online as currently no show rooms have one.

I'll suggest you to watch Harry's garage because that guy owned almost all generations of range rover's and can tell you real life review. He compared old gen to new one and the difference is massive
I was ahead of my time with my custom paint job on my range rover back in 2011. Now, they come from factory with blacked-out top sections, but not back then.

I love Range Rover all time..it’s really have such an amazing presence on the road. When the range comes from the rear, you just give way to them.

God this is so fun, I am like Yanni always stressed out when someone put their fingerprintes all over the interior or screw around in the back haha. 15:42 lmao I do the same.
From the various reviews I've seen on both the RRs and the BBs, I'd definitely choose the Range Rover. I've actually seen one video where they ran the same course and obstacles and the RR just won out on all categories. My primary reason would be to have a nice, comfortable interior for long drives, but have that off-road capability, if I wanted to veer onto some snow, mud, or sandy areas, and with that the Range Rover just seems the better choice.
Finally! Been waiting months for this.

The original Evoque also had two shark-fin aerials. I asked an owner once and they said it was to do with the GPS system.

If only Range Rover’s engineers were allowed to make stuff as great as the exterior design guys. They’ve always looked great for the era they’re released in. However they’re also always far behind the reliability of most other vehicles.

Have to agree with Matt, for a $120k car (in the US) cheap plastic bits in the interior where for $100 you could get real metal etc is just stupid, why Range Rover (and Jag, and btw I own a Jag) do this is beyond me.

Finally somebody said it. I feel like everybody in the comments loves Yanni and his cars, so sometimes I feel like I'm the only one. Whenever he makes an appearance at carwow he irritates the shit out of me for some reason with the way he behaves and talks. And yeah, it doesn't help that he seems quite tacky. But then again, I'm sure he's not gonna cry over this comment. He likes this style and I guess it's the most important it makes HIM happy, but holy crap "money can't buy taste" is spot on.
