It’s time for an absolutely incredible off-road race!
We’ve got our hands on a Polaris RZR off-road buggy, and it’s going head-to-head in a series of off-road challenges against a Suzuki GSX-R that’s been modified to help it leave the tarmac!
So let’s see how the two compare. Starting with the Polaris, it’s powered by a 1-litre 2-cylinder engine that can deliver 112hp. It comes with four-wheel drive, weighs in at 745kg, and all-in costs around £29,000.
As for the bike, it’s a whole lot lighter than the Polaris, weighing only 198kg. It’s still packing a bit of power, mind, being able to put down 140hp. It was one of the most sought-after super bikes back in the early 2000s, and it's now had several mods added to it including off-road tyres and armour plating!
So can a superbike actually beat a buggy that's been built for off-roading? You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself!

When I saw the thumbnail image I was like, the bike doesn't have a chance against that beast of a 4 wheel drive machine. But Chris was bloody good and I was gasping during some parts of the video. He is an Absolute Mad Lad!!! Total Respect for him. Purely shows that mad skills can beat engineering.

You do realise a Motocross bike would spank any offroad 4 wheeler? like litteraly lap it within a few laps. There is nothing that can beat a dirt bike offroad they are the upper boundary. Its no suprise a superbike is good offroad either as back when the R1 first came out Steve Hislop done a comedy vid of him taking one for a testride with the salesman on the back😂 He was doing 170mph with the dude on the back then he jumped it down stairs and went on a short offroad track with the guy on the back absolutely bricking it hahaha. He nearly fell off about 5 times. Late 90s nobody gave a F

@bigduphusaj162 I find it strange they are using a fully off road 4wd vehicle vs a sports bike with a few mods. The bike here can barely get 40hp down never mind 140hp I'm surprised how much traction the Bridgestone AX41 is getting as its not really a full off road tyre at all.

The guys who mob these superbikes off-road are savages... I don't think anyone who's not ridden a superbike ON road, or a dirt bike OFF road, could even grasp how wildly difficult (and different) they are in their own right. So being able to manage that GSXR1k off road like that takes some serious skills and balls! Cheers

I've ridden a sports bike off road it's terrifying. the geometry is completely off and over bumps it tries to just throw you off. Wonder we they didn't get a different top yolk and fit some pro taper handlebars.

@@theraildynasty_Probably that and also, if you don't know what you're doing, it could be really dangerous. Sam has a lot of experience racing cars, and Chris (probably) knows his own bike

That would make things way to easy. I think the bike needs a more aggressive rear tyre than the AX41 it 50/50 at best

Polaris RZR Buggy shaped very similarly to the Buggy from MAD RIDERS, a sequel from Nail'd on PS3.

I mean, driving a buggy with four tyres and the commitment of Sam is already impressive enough, but doing it on two and with a bike that is nowhere near optimal for those conditions is just nuts

Absolutely one of your Top 10 best episodes ever - Chris summed it up when he said he'd done a lot of these but today was the best day ever - and it showed on film! Bummed that the ending was sorta engineered against Sam, as he really did crush it, but given Chris had no cage and only 1 wheel drive totally cool that he won. Epic all around.
