I love that dashboard fabric

Thanks for the tour! It looks pretty good I think. Not sure about the controls/switches being so small and limited. We are in the process of having solar panels installed on our house and have discussed whether we should install a charging station as well. We can all that later if we decide to go electric.

Having driven Mini’s and MINI’s my whole life (still driving one today) I am sad to say I am not at all enthusiastic about the direction taken with both of these cars and as such the brand in general. Maybe it’ll ‘feel’ different in person but this vehicle lacks what originally set MINI’s apart from other vehicles… originality and a premium feel. The focus on silly screen related ‘modes’ and projected images on what is otherwise looking like a boring 45km/h vehicle interior is trying to steer away from the fact there isn’t much else to be enthusiastic about with these. Everything about this screams ‘make it cheaper’… NOT a smart move for the first true ‘premium small car’ brand. My two (sad) cents. And I am truly mostly always looking for a silver lining with everything… Can’t find one here.

So annoying that they couldn't engineer the Panoramic roof to open, it's been a key feature since the R50 and I can't figure out why they couldn't do it on this one. A small glass roof that doesn't open in a small car seems pointless to me.

Sweet video, thanks for the close ups of all the little details. The view down the side does show that there are fender bulges not just a flat side. Can’t wait to see one in person. Maybe at MTTS.

i don't hate it, that's for sure, but i wish some of the styling was still more traditionally aggressive than the subdued styling. i wonder how much of an impact on range things like that slanted windshield made? i bet it's a blast to drive with all that torque available at zero rpm 😁

I am in the same boat!

dont like it . the charm of a mini is looking retro and this is not .

I just don't see how even the 200 mile range (in any car) will be feasible here in the large mid-west states. Maybe in the future, they will have an alternator or solar panels to charge the batteries.

I think the new MINI looks great! The only changes I personally would like to see are the return of front fog lights, if there's a rear fog light, which I'm sure there will be with it being required for the Euro models, give us the ability in the U.S. to at least order them with the rear fog light option again, please! That's part of the joy of owning a Euro car imo lol. The only other thing is I'm sad to see the orange dash backlighting gone in favor of white. I feel like every automaker is using white backlighting on every model now and it just takes away from the uniqueness that you used to get with certain cars.

Sunroof doesn't open?!? If it's an option I'd want that deleted. Hope there's no issue with center screen burn in...that screen is going to always be on since it will have your basic info like charge %, speed, climate, etc. Even with the bigger battery option I wonder if a 200 mi. range is going to make this car appealing enough to "on the fence" buyers.

Have they confirmed if they’re coming to the US yet ?

Is anyone from MINI USA reading the news headlines - EV inventory piling up across the country? How about the stories during heat waves that customers are encouraged to cut back on electric usage to avoid brown outs? Now imagine when all of our vehicles are added to the grid. Is every freedom-loving MINI driver OK with have their charging electricity rationed? Maybe it will be tied to your social credit score. 😢

There will still be the ICE version so you don't have to commit to electric

The original hood was what it make it a mini because it also marked the the pillar and now it just look like any other car 🤮 and those twilights are so fugly the interior I dig

I don't understand why MINI, having a concept as perfect as the F56, is launching this new concept. It's so ugly that I don't think it will last long, no matter how much love there is among MINI fans. I have to be honest! The vehicle looks very, very ugly! Very disappointing on MINI's part. They could have opted for a new design inspired by the classic model from the 60s or improved the design of the F56 a little more, instead of letting the MINI Cooper dies like this.
