Maannn, I really wish this were coming to the US! 😭 I think we're only getting the Countryman Electric as of now, but the stylings of this model are much more appealing to me. Please send the @MiniCooperElectric this side of the pond! 🙏🏾❤️

From what I've read or heard, the MINI Cooper Electric is supposed to come to the US.

Not from this China made Mini Cooper.The US model won’t be available in the US until they start production of the new Mini Cooper SE at the Oxford plant.The US trade tariffs on Chinese made cars don’t make economic sense for BMW to import them into the US.Thats why Chinese made Teslas don’t get imported into the US but they are starting to send some to Canada.No one in North America should be buying a Chinese made car.

People are hating on this new design but I think it looks much better than the F56, atleast the pre-LCI II models. They never looked quite right to me, this is more along the lines of the R53 and I love it for that!

Love the video and the new mini. I have an R53 (20years now as my everyday car) which I love it every day but it's time for something new and day to day I love that new design. I just love it. Even the rear lights starts grow on me day by day. I love lots of details in the new generation. Haters gonna hate as they do in EVERY new mini and when time pass they love what they hated. Thank you for your great and enthusiastic presentation!

@@petercoyne8300 the ice f66; how; I haven't seen anything from MINI till now. I know from rumors some things about the design such as the door handles, the arches etc but nothing is for sure. I don't know even the trims ( i hope that it would be the same with the electric cause i want the jcw trim ) and the price. I wish you all the best with your new MINI :)

The look & drive will be coming as soon as our demonstrator model arrives. This will be roughly around April! There's nothing to see under the bonnet of the fully-electric model! However, when the combustion variant arrives we will show you 😁 Thank you very much for watching!

Wow , Harry is so handsome with this Mini Cooper SE JCW edition, is so perfect . And i aslo like this car . Because as a Android smartphones users , finally this car has support Android Auto and Mini OS with android software support, i am so happy. I am from Malaysia, hopefully BMW Group Malaysia can bring this car to Malaysia. I am already get driving license and ready save money to buy this cool car . ❤❤❤😍😍😍

When will the JCW spec be available on the builder? Don’t see it when I try to configure. Please confirm the price of the JCW with all trim

The Cooper E and SE are available on the UK website with the Sport Trim which is the JCW parts seen in this video. The price of the Cooper SE with the full pack on is around £43,000.

What’s the expected delivery time after ordering? Also, what’s the cost to charge it from zero to full?

@@mikebuchan4904 current delivery times may vary depending in spec, Mike! We may see them around March/April time as it stands. As for charging cost, we will say for example the bigger battery in the SE (54KwH) would cost on a 12p/KwH tariff at home, around £6.50 to charge. However some providers offer an even lower tariff!

Is this the E-Sport model? I am on the verge of ordering and just wanted to check as I love the more aggressive body look

Perhaps you can confirm, but I thought the interior was completely free of leather. Is the steering wheel leather-wrapped or is it Vescin?

Yes it is free of leather! It's leather textured and still has that lovely scent, so it still gives the impression of it, whilst being more sustainable! 😁

The Cooper E features a range of 170-190 miles, and the SE features a range of 220-250 miles! 0-60 isn't yet stated, however keep a lookout for our look & drive where we shall cover all of these figures!

The panoramic roof on this model is fixed! However it is larger than the current sunroof available on the F56 generation vehicles when opting for the Premium Plus pack!

@@sycamore_mini Shame it’s fixed as I always preferred to open the sunroof to let some air in than open the windows. This seems like big step in the wrong direction and making it bigger doesn’t do anything to compensate for the loss of the quasi open air experience. However it’s a very nice car otherwise.

@@enigmatwist6548 the new MINI family is absolutely gorgeous, even more so in the flesh. The panoramic roof does of course have the lighting effects in the side adding to cabin atmosphere. The fixed roof helps to keep higher positioned weight down and keep the vehicle quieter!

@@enigmatwist6548 - If I had to guess, MINI may reserve a future convertible for top open/top down capability. I know the current convertible allows partial opening to mimic an open sunroof.

@@apexerman1 Maybe, but I like my tin tops. It’s not a deal breaker just a preference.

As with all the videos showing off the new mini. I can’t get over how big it is. Is he super short or is there like a foot of head room above his head. I have an F55 and this 3 door looks huge vs that. It’s like the car was scaled wrong. Proportions are right but size is wrong. Maybe if I see it in person it will not be too bad. But all the videos I have seen make it look huge. And huge is not something I want from a mini. I mean it’s in the name for craps sake. Otherwise I am down with all the changes to modernize or be different with the minimal styling. Not saying I like it all but I get it and why not try something and see how it plays out. That’s what I am down with, Mini going for it vs staying safe. At least in my view. So just the size I am concerned about really.

The pod with the vehicle inside was a mobile unit, therefore headroom was much lower! The New MINI Cooper Electric is merely a fraction larger than the current F56, however inside it feels the same size yet more 'MINI' due to things like the smaller steering wheel!

Production for the fully-electric model is mainly carried out in China! ICE MINI models are still being produced at our home plant in Oxford!

Hi Peter! That is the winter range of the current MINI Electric model. The new model features a more efficient drivetrain, and a larger battery. Therefore range is around 220-250 miles WLTP on the new model. WLTP is real world testing to ensure the quoted range figure is accurate.

Saw this car and presentation in Glasgow. This model is £43k.

60% of UK households have off road parking. And there're depreciating because a) the market was flooded by cars coming off lease deals, b) because stupid people believe crap like they're expensive to charge when the opposite is true.

@@TheOnlyJizz the Octopus Energy EV tariff is particularly appealing, you're right, home charging is a great cost effective method and is designed to do most of the vehicle charging overnight, and preconditioning!
