New Martinez/Atlas 46 Collaboration Tool Bag Setup
First off....This is the new Martinez/Atlas 46 collaboration tool bag. I don't know how many times I said Atlas 64....but you guys get the idea. I have been wearing some version of this Martinez bag since Mark first started prototyping it. It has been a pretty killer little bag and I think it will serve a lot of different tradesmen very well. Best part is made in America like all of Marks Tools
I can usually gauge the need to make a video based on the number of comments I receive, and there have been a continuous stream of questions regarding this pouch. I still love my gRRande setup from Diamondback and this isn't a complete replacement. They are not even the same setup. The fact remains however, I really enjoyed them even as a framer.

It’s great! My shed has been completed and it turned out nice looking and sturdy and it is way better than the sheds that many of my neighbors had put up. Of course, I'm pleased with the outcome and this Ryan’s kzread.infoUgkxGZedDTcDfgD7fG_uU4esfx_EgxzlY2_1 Plans was extremely useful to me as a guide.
"I'm hoping I left it on site, cuz I have no idea where it is" is a reoccurring theme for me. 😂
I have watched this video more than 30 times no lie can’t wait to get mine.
God bless you for sharing your knowledge and thank you. I am learning a lot about building a pole barn home
Man the magnets for the bit pouches is a great idea.
That’s sure a nice tool belt & pockets/pouches, Kyle! We love watching you. This was quite informative. Thank you. Now on to building! 😉
Been waiting for this vid, & knew you’d eventually get to it. Been seeing the Martinez bag for awhile out in the “wild”, & looks pretty good, & glad Mark is expanding his products. Love the “tools” he designs & makes for us Happy Holidays 🎅🏻

Looks like a great bag for trim work or remodeling/ install jobs
That extra sleeve on the Ox would be prefect for my cell phone!
It seems like the removable magnet would also make it easier to clean out, not having permanently embedded metal grit
That sems like what im more looking for. Thanks for sharing
Interesting pouch- I will stick with my Diamondbacks! Nice of you to help promote it for Mark tho.
Great review that looks like a well made bag personally I don’t like a bag on my right I just have a big one on my left and a drill holster on my back. That would be a great bag for an electrician to keep screw drivers and wire strippers in.
Milwaukee stud hanging on for dear life in that little pocket!!
If the Diamondback pouches wear out before the end of my career I will go back to Occidental fat lip, greatest bags ever made hands down
I have been waiting to buy the OX pouch till they put the micro square slot in. It is absolutely perfect for nail strips
looks like a great bag if i can ever get mine , im 5 weeks out after i paid for it. even when it was supposed to be in stock, now they say it could be another 4 weeks.
A divider in the grande on the lower pouch would be killer, I have diamond back pouches on my harness and my hands are to big to get the nails out of the bottom 2 pouches
I’ve always used an old school leather tool belt (20 years). I’m inspired to try your diamondback belt. Thanks for explaining everything so well

Nicely Done 👍🏽📐🔨
Seems like a good lil bag for an electricians trim out bag
I noticed you had the Stud rather than the Wide Blade there. Any reason in particular, or just what was on the shelf?
Hammer sleeves are clutch!
Hello Kyle, I was listening to the Fine homebuilding podcast. During the whole podcast, I kept saying, this voice sounds familiar. I didn't know it was you until you mentioned your KZread channel. Looks like a great pouch, but boy do I wish they made it more like a drywall size. My occidental drywall pouch is very versatile and carries about everything I need, even for electrical work. If they copied that design and added the hammer holder, that would be perfect for me. I could use this bag on the left side, but I would miss my 7" speed square.
I like the Menards pouches. Very inexpensive, many options, and life time warranty. When it breaks they give you a new one.

Looks good, extra storage on the right side. Doesn’t look like there’s any spot for a heavier tool(Milwaukee cordless framer) to hang on.
Should of told diamondback to make a 2 small pouches on the bottom left side. I use 16d and 8d. Having 2 bottom pouches on left would help keep those seperate.
Sorry another tool belt question. Now that you have tried a small and a medium size waist belt which is your preference for fit?
I'm a fire sprinkler fitter it would be great if a company made a set of bags compatible with what we do like a pipe wrench holder like that hammer one that would be sweet love the video man keep it up

Check out Atlas 46 they do have setups for about every trade and magnet patches that are said to be strong enough for larger wrenches. Extremely expensive stuff but also worth it.
I have a hell of a time putting my rubber handle hammer in the sleeve but wood no problem
I enjoyed the video on the pouch, I even checked out the website. Good stuff. However, I've been looking for the Carpenter Framing Square w/ built-in stair gauges, that your body made a lot of videos back. I'm very interested in it, also I just finished your video series on Large Post Frame Build, Red with black wainscot, nice build. The bib that you and your guys wearing, could I get the link for them? They look like a quality product. Also, I thought I would mention, I like the fact that you take "rough framing" to another level. It tells me a lot about your standards. Thank you
That looks perfect, I just wish it wasn’t 150
I was wondering what kind tool pouch does Greg wear? P.s i’v ordered the Martinez tool pouch.

@@aerosaaber lotta shit gets sold to the american public. Look at how many morons bought bitcoin. Police are herding/bashing people. All that's required for that is a sociopathic personality. Occidental Fatlip for me got the m1 too
I kind of want to try this out for checking grade
I still use huge old leather bags & belts from the 1990's, lol 😊👍🇺🇸
Atlas 46 has been making tool belts for many years now. I have their vest and their padded tool belt as well as many, many of the pouches. Its all American made with military grade fabric and stitching and its indestructible (much like I would assume DB toolbelts are) Thje magnets on the hammer sheath are an Atlas 46 thing, not a Martinez thing. They have magnets in a ton of their pouches and they're handy as hell sometimes. And yes, you did transpose the 4 and 6 in their name quite a few times haha.

Atlas vest weighs 3 lbs LOL. Try the diamondback vest. I got the Diamondback 701 vest (1.1 lbs) and I through out my atlas46 saratoga vest (3.0 lbs) the next week. Atlas46 makes such garbage. I bought a lot of Atlas46 when I first started construction and carpentry... I since have learned that they are absolute trash and heavy as hell. I prefer my Blaklader work vest. I prefer my Snickers Work vest, and I REALLY prefer my Diamondback 701 vest to the super heavy stiff AF saratoga vest.
Are there any loops for bigger snips siding snips any we're to put them
Here in the nordic countries, we're really big on tool vests and I've been teetering on buying the Atlas46 Saratoga for a while. Have you looked into that system and or company or would that mess up your good relationship with diamondback?

This is sort of stepping into the premium. I get quality is important, but I often go back to the mid range price so I wouldn't feel so bad when I abuse them. When I think of Martinez, I think of those expensive hammers that people say a lot of good things about, but later find out they are not so perfect. I don't like that feeling where you pay a lot for something and later you find out there is something wrong with the tool because of major design/technical flaw.
