New Jersey Hiking to an Abandoned CASTLE!
Just a day before the historic earthquake on April 5, 2024, I hiked the Ramapo Mountains in the Ramapo State forest in search of a castle.
Little did I know, an earthquake was forming below me at the Ramapo Fault Line.
Although I had just missed the earthquake by 1 day and the epicenter was nearly 40 miles away - I can't help but wonder how the hike could have turned out on that day of April 5, 2024, the day of the most historic earthquake in NJ history.
But today, I am taking you on a medium to difficult challenging hike to seek out the remains of a castle belonging to a 3 time widow; the castle suffered fire from arson, and we'll see today it's remains.

The mountain was so much higher than anticipated I was definitely not prepared. But totally worth the views and castle was cool!
