It's always difficult with motorcycle riders. They expect a saddle. What scooters have is basically, a chair. If you want to eat dinner, you don't sit on a saddle. You sit on a chair. This is like sitting for dinner, except that you are moving over 120km/hr. As far as power goes, it has an engine that's originally in a motorcycle (Honda NC750X). If you have issues with its power, you have issues with the Honda NC750X motorcycle as well. What the X-ADV does which the big bikes can't is being an everyday ride that can go in way more places and terrains. You can't force a big bike to do that. Adventure bikes are also too bulky to go to certain places. It's a more versatile tool for people who do more than just ride fast on weekends.

You can buy a lowering kit for the rear suspension for those on the short side. Also pegs if you want a more of a motorcycle foot postition.

I love every moment I spend in seat! It lacks 20-30 horsepower. Left operators are not in the right place, I can't get used to it..

Use the pegs for standing, and you can manually shift up/down even when your in auto.

Nice ride, nice review. Thanks for posting/sharing. This is what I want from Honda: so far this 750 version has not hit North American shores and I don't expect it to, sadly. So Honda - develop a Honda X-ADV 450 or 500cc version. Have it also sold in both Canada and the USA. Offer the same colours as you do across the pond - none of that one colour per year crap. And make it belt driven not chain driven like this 750. I thank you in advance. :)

You can mount an adventure peg not to ride it like a scooter.

I haven't made my mind yet do i like automic gearbox on a bike or not. Mayby no. But there are people who need it to ride a bike in the first place so it is good they have that choise. That being said it defenetly isn't for everybody. The bike in guestion looks like a scooter but is it? That is the question :) I kinda want to testride one.

honestly, I learned how to use a clutch, so I dont like DCT bikes :D but people are strange kind, everybody likes something different :) Honda is one of the few who offers this yeah, I still dont know what this is :D

I haven't driven a motorcycle or a car ever in my Life but I'm starting to do some research and the thing that i think of a lot is, why would someone, who just wants something to get around choose manual over automatic? It's easier, less things to think about while driving and it is so much better for traffic. If you're a person that wants to go from point a to point b, why would you want to make it harder on yourself while you try to get to somewhere?

@Lalinjaman people are still devided into 2 groups. Manuals vs automatic. Nowadays, Honda has presented e-clutch which is similar to automatic, but it is a manual in a sence. Id say, majority of people who prefers manual transmission carer about the feeling, that they ride the bike, not the bike rides itself. Sporty ride is also better with manual. The feel of shifting gears and downshifting prior corner is unique. You cannot experience that with dct. However, travelling and city riding is far better with automatic. So, it depends how you ride and what the bike is for

Nice bike but here in Canada it's going to cost almost $20k. That's a ridiculous price for a scooter when the ADV is $10k less.

@@mikey_moto_channel Actually, I found a 2010 Yamaha T-Max 560 for $2500CAN on Facebook marketplace here in Montreal. It runs like a dream, has a top speed of 130km and looks awesome. Can't wait for spring!
