Scarcity in cryptos (blockchain of nothing) is a big LIE. Pieces of nothing are not scarce, there are infinite pieces of nothing. Making a blockchain of 21 million toothpicks cannot make toothpicks scarce, nor can it make pieces of nothing scarce!😝😝😝😝

Yep, and I'm still a fan of MM but I feel like he and others are pumping BTC for their own benefit. How can you believe in precious metals and at the same time advocate for digital nothing that is more volatile than a tech stock in a bubble? I'm buying miners hand over fist. Let the masses pile into the bubble nasdaq and digital nothing. GOld making near record highs and nothing is said on mainstream media. While behind the scenes central banks are gobbling up gold at record paces. Fireworks are coming for gold and silver.

Gold, Bitcoin and silver are all proofs of work. What backs their price is the cost to mine another one. Bitcoin solves golds, fractional, storage, transport, liquidity and auditing problems.

Bitcoin is closer to fiat because there is no limits for how many cryptos you can make. You have thousands od cryptoes and not all are cheering for bitcoin. Gold is gold and will also be there if the power switches off🙂

@@foolsleadtheworld578 Bitcoin is not fiat. It's the opposite. There is a fixed supply. More cannot be mined, found, or created. Correct, there's no limits on crypto you can make, but those cryptos are not Bitcoin.

The fact that "artificial scarcity" was brought up and yet "digital gold" is still claimed is a contradiction. Obviously bitcoin is more similar to fiat than gold.

There was always 21m Bitcoins from day one. None have been added or taken away. The having doesn't cut supply, it cuts the distribution, until year 2140. Tick-tock next block Bitcoin is a predictable monetary asset.

@sang3Eta Exactly. So why would anyone continue to run the code on their computers when they still have to pay the energy bill? They will get less and less to run it. The only way it works is IF the price rises exponentially in perpetuity. That is a very big if. The bitcoin system, if implemented, also mandates that the early adopters become massively wealthy, having unwarranted claims on the resources of the world and the efforts of others that their own productive value to society does not equal. It creates a non-productive leech class like we already have with bankers. There might not be anymore bitcoins being made, but bitcoin 2.0 can be made. Hell, you could practically clone it and just call it buttcoin. You cannot whimsically fabricate gold, or any of the elements. You have to follow the laws of nature to do that, and those laws require ENORMOUS energy input and effort. This is why certain elements are scarce. The only thing inflating faster than fiat ARE crypto currencies.

@@btrasbt Everyone can mine Bitcoin with solar, unlike gold, it's far more equitable. 60% of Bitcoin is mined with renewables.

@sang3Eta I don't think you understand how inefficient and expensive solar is, or how much energy it takes to run the blockchain. Even with MASSIVE subsidies, solar is expensive. It's also a waste of resources, and can only be implemented even somewhat effectively in few places in the world.

@@btrasbt I can buy a 420w solar panel from China for $100 and it will produce $120 of electricity per year for 30 years. Energy is money. Gold just represents the diesel oil burned to mine it.

Patience. Historically, there is always a lag. Also remember that the current pricings are futures contracts and involve a paper market hundreds of times larger than the physical market.

silver will do a x4 when it does move on up.... you can buy bitcoin at 60k and hope for a x1 in the next 10 - 15 years ... if it goes zero you can always take a picture of it and hang it on the wall.

You can add the U.S. to the list of countries that are currently in a recession…

10yr falling YIELD surely, not falling price. Falling yield means increasing price, presumably caused by INCREASED demand.

I'll put it this way. If I'm putting money in the market for returns within a year bitcoin. If I want returns for retirement stock market. If I want to preserve the Wealth for multiple generations gold or diversified cashflowing real estate. Your ancient ancestors could have theoretically left you gold and it would still be worth something. Gold and land has been all that's trully mattered long term (multiple lifetimes) since ancient times

Interesting on the Billionaires selling stock, though that may coincide with the race to the RICH LIST whereby Bezos has just recently topped Musk again. Not sure on the price of gold as a reflection of one landslide in Turkey, though it depends on how much gold that mine turns out? Keep up the good work Guys! P.S BTC still bothers me. It is a bit like Musical Chairs, but reversed... If that makes sense. BTC is far too volatile to be a currency of any reliability and it really has no correlation to gold. I think there will be a lot of sellers in BTC as it hits areas of previous all time highs.

I still am not a BTC guy. I still get hung up on the lacking physical properties. And I'm still surprised a hard money guy like MM would be a fan of it. Lacking physical properties and more volatile than a tech stock. IMO, the only worth of BTC is as a speculative trading vehicle. If you can trade it and make some money of the backs of others, good for you.

@mbrechenser2 I just looked at a chart of btc vs gold. Btc has a reverse pattern cup and handle to the gold chart. Id bet gold breaks out here and btc heads south. Gold miners are probably the place to be, of you want to 10x to 50x your money

unfortunatly there is nothing even close to sense, common or otherwise, related to bitcoin. Bitcoin is like any other speculative mania throughout history, and it will end the same way. Gold on the other hand is money. Gold do not go up, please understand that: Gold does not go up, it is the dollar, the euro and the pound that goes DOWN
