Similar thing happened to me last year...I had just purchased their J2S with the 4493 chip and then Passion for Sound had announced Geshelli Labs just started selling the J2S with the 4499ex chip. I had immediately reached out to Sherry and she was very kind and had accommodated my request to change my order to the 4499ex version Depending upon how much time has lapsed, you may be able to do the same with the J3 if it would be of interest. Can’t go wrong with either or! Depends on your taste of style and budget! J3 is awesome and so is the DayZee!

Everyone better know that 3 -2590's is gonna be another $378. Amanero , another $50. Add a real LPS and real Galvanic Isolation - That's another $500+/_ I love my J2S... and - if my life were allowing.... I would probably love to have this too... Even matching my beloved A3. It is well worth the investment and the upgrade path.... This DAC offering in the J2 format sounded great with all 5 opamps I tried. We have the oem in house... the V6V, V7V, SS3602 and the SS2590's we love the SS2590's for sure! What your Dad accomplished here is top notch.... Give it 6more db and I am happy.... maybe even have the front plate say Sparkos inside.... i might order one if God gets me through my crap here.... BUY THIS DAC!!!!!!

This looks awesome. Dedicated buttons for input selection is a total win. Extra room for more op amp rolling rocks as well. I wonder if the gain switching feature is still there. I love my J2 and I find myself adjusting the gain a bit as I have many different amps I use with it.

Great dac! I have j2s with sparkos. Love it. This makes me think about a new dac. Is the new sparkos op amp a big difference from the j2s sparko op amp?

Suggestion: I like to turn my entire system OFF when not in use. Is it possible for the inputs to remember where it was after I cut power? I don't like to have to cycle inputs every time I turn my system on. Just a thought.

The J2s fits the 3602’s, not the 2590’s. You can fit one 2590 with dip adapter on the RCA just not the XLR’s. The J3 Pro is designed to fit the 2590’s with dip adapter in both xlr and rca.

I can only imagine how good the signal path into headphones would sound if the J3 Pro and Erish 3 Pro were paired together. That's up to 6 Sparkos 2590s being used at once right? 👀

Yes! It is an incredible combo! 3 2590’s fit in the J3 and 4 are installed in the E3! Sparkos overload of enjoyment

Awesome!!! When I met you guys at Capital Audio you hinted at this. Question: is the physical size of the J3 bigger than the J2? I purchased on the limited edition custom wood cases for the J2 with the intention of buying a J2. Now that the upgrade is here I would much rather have it than the older gen. But I would like to still use the same custom wood case instead of buying another one. Will that work?

Hi! Yes the op amps are swappable! Just like the J2S the standard op amps will be the TI OPA 1656 with upgrade options for op amps from both sparkos and burson! The board now is just designed in order to fit the sparkos 2590’s as they are bigger in size then the other op amps! Hope this helps!
