I have a titanium rod in my leg held by screws. Yes it does give extra support to the leg. But its where the rod is connected to bone that can cause problems and new fractures

@@TheMMAHoles yes he was older by a few years and those are significant years. But he also has lived a much healthier lifestyle than Conor. Conor did admit to using steroids to help with the healing process and who can blame the guy there. I just don’t see this metal rod giving him any advantage in the fight. Weidman also got a titanium rod. I think the memory of that leg snapping is going to hinder him more than it will help him. Just my opinion. With all due respect.

Yeah it pretty much goes both ways. I think this fight plays more to Conor’s strengths. Unless Chandler takes it to the ground but he doesn’t seem to utilize his wrestling too much.

I wouldn't be surprised if Chandler finally uses his wrestling and has a Chad Mendes approach to fighting Conor. If michael is smart he will use his wrestling. If Conor is smart he will go back to his "counter fighting" style like he did against Eddie Alvarez, the slip and rip. Eddie Alvarez who has fought both men calls this a "mismatch" and says Conor will easily destroy Chandler. I hope that is the case and we see another hungry version of Mcgregor shooting for another belt.

While I am excited af for this fight, I do remember thinking when I heard Conor required a titanium rod in his leg "how is it legal for him to fight in the UFC with that thing? Will he have to go to boxing now?" I couldn't stand it if he did, but I don't see how it's ok to fight with a concealed weapon like that.

why with this destroy crap?? I feel that MMA bros.. and the MMA in general are still fairly young in it's popularity and hasn't really settled down.
