Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The later model 6 blade one piece fan is securely in place on the front of the Frogeye's engine. The radiator is reinstalled and refilled. Another successful week in the Econobox Garage.
The fan I used is ‪@MossMotorsCom‬ part number 434-560 mossmotors.com/434-560-fan-pl...

Thanks Jack. The front hinged bonnet is definitely one of, if not the top, the best mods I have done on the car.

I note the start sequence of your videos has reverted to the winter version - just as we are getting deep into summer here in Australia. Seems a shame to put the Bugeye to bed for the winter - easy for me to say of course as we don't have snow here and putting a car to bed for the winter is unheard of. I look forward to seeing the hardtop restoration in the next few months.

Thanks. It's not impossible to drive a classic here in the winter but temperatures can get quite cold and then there's the snow and salted roads to deal with.

Great upgrade! It should move a bit more air through the rad too.

I put my Mini to bed for the Winter a few weeks back. Sad day. Of course it got warmer the next week… Ordered a couple of Econobox garage shirts!

When I used my '59 Sprite as a daily driver, including Minnesota winters, I would completely remove the fan blades! Totally block the radiator with car board. I did that on my '72 Datsun 510 station wagon and my '76 [blush] Volare... Just had to watch the temp gauge...

Hi Dwight. I don't plan to drive the Sprite in the winter so I'm not worried about too much cooling :)

Beautiful install! Can’t wait to see you driving it once the weather improves! 😎 Will you be doing any modifications or small projects before then? Perhaps refurbishing some starters/regulators or maybe even installing electronic ignition?

Thank you! One of the winter projects will be refurbishing an original hardtop. There will also be some garage clean up and rearrangement. It's become quite a bit disorganized over the course of work on the car. Looking at some other upgrades as well... stay tuned!

Ian - I’ll be interested in your experiences with the plastic, six blade fan in terms of keeping your car from overheating in the summer. I plan to keep the original four blade metal fan blades to keep the original look, but since I live in South Carolina, where it can get quite hot in the summer, I’m a little concerned about over heating.

@JaronWehelan I have a hardtop for the car that needs some restoration work so that will be featured. I'll also be doing a bunch of more general work in the garage that I plan to use to create a few episodes.
