Thanks Pete. It is a little louder than I was expecting but the exhaust was an unknown factor... I was given it by someone clearing out their garage.

I can't wait to see the smile on your face! I just got home today from the Healey Encounter in Hershey, PA. Drove the car two and a half hours non-stop, with no problems. Tomorrow I'll fuel up and check my gas mileage.

Finally she runs. Congratulations! It's about now that all the effort starts to pay dividends. I have really enjoyed following this project but I am a little sad that there may not be much more now that the end is well and truly in sight. Can we look forward to the first drive next episode?

Quite a milestone, well done! Btw when connecting the battery for the first time, it's a good idea to fit a 20 amp fuse in the bettery lead. Ant mistakes and it'll blow the fuse, not set your new loom on fire. That would have saved your numberplate lamp wiring.

I like those air filters. Much nicer than the stock cans. I have a pile of those cans if you want a few! And THATS the sound I want to hear, the A series has a wonderful tone. Sounds amazing on a race car too.

It was indeed! Now on to the next one.

I remember starting mine for the first time checked everything twice and put it off once, i was that nervous and finally tried it and blow me it started first time a little rough but soon had it running good all that worrying for nothing.

It is a nerve wracking process, especially since I tend to overthink things!

Great sound and happy moment after all that work. The fuel pump sounded a bit wierd, like it keeps sending fuel after the carburetors where full. Did you notice any thing in that area?

Nice work Ian. I noticed at 6:10 when you turned off the key that the lower right light blinked on for a second. Did changing the signal switch fix this, or is it just a quirk of the car?

I didn't notice that! It turned out that I had the flasher hooked up incorrectly. Once I put the correct wires on the correct terminals the signal lights worked as they should.
