Ocean Blue is sublime. The Oxblood is nice too. Love the new choices, all have their own unique appeal.

That Honey Amber hits the mark, its a 3-in-1 guitar for me. It has AFD and Greeny vibes for a few dollars less and it also gives you a Gibson version of the JB Epiphone Lazarus.

I got a 2015 Les Paul Traditional used in Ocean Blue. It was such a cool finish, I couldn't pass on it. Depending on the light, it can be bright or darker. Thank goodness, the basic colors are worn out. Glad they opened up the palette.

Who exactly is Addam Jones? My Epi 1960 LP Tribute Plus looks very much like the one in the thumbnail second from left. Some lovely colours in there!

The Oxblood is a Jeff Beck thing so thumbs up on that one, The Ocean Blue I like, The Blueberry Burst, And the Pelham blue is nice too. I'm down to 2 Gibson Les Pauls so they need a little color in their life lol None of them will be going away so they need some friends. That and an ES-335 or 345. I wonder why I'm broke lol.

I could be wrong, but I think that Gibson ran the Blueberry Burst from 2015-2018. I have a 2017 and love it. Looking at a 60’s one.

Are these just epiphone colours from the muse and modern fade series? And are they new to Gibson, they all look straight from the 2012 catalog

Gibson has a video on their own channel that shows where they took some of the color inspiration from - supposedly. The Blueberry was on one of the 2016 or 2017 HP’s Dave referred to, while others do seem similar the the Muse collection. Some seem a bit new. Others like Pelham Blue are lifted off other model Gibsons/Epiphones or Signature LP’s. That’s my take.

As far as I know Oxblood has been available but only on limited offerings. I'm glad to see it on this model, myself. There are one or two that are cool but like you asked how "new" are they for real.

@@toddmoore2324 Yeah, Oxblood is definitely rare in Gibson's history and I'm not sure they've done it translucent on a figured top in the past. That's the one I want to see in person. I think the rest have been done over the past decade with maybe the exception of the Fuchsia. What makes this lineup cool to me is the natural backs. Love the cross section especially on the darker colors.

Solid video. Some cool colors there for sure. Going to keep an eye out for them in the stores around here. One thing I noticed after looking at these new colors is I’m usually a leave the pick guard on if it comes with one type person, but I think I’d take the pick guard off for these ones.

I love this idea too, BUT I wish they had done this with the modern guitar line àla the HP line you mentioned or the current Modern guitars. Something else struck me by extension to the above as well. It is certainly nice to have other color options on LP’s with traditional specs, but I am wondering whether the target audience for most of the traditional specs (aka Boomers) will be into the more flashy options. Gibson probably should have saved the flashier colors for modern specs guitars that are more likely to get picked up by players around 50 and below. Instead, I think they should have used some more muted/classic/classy, brand new colors for the traditional LP line that Boomers will be more likely to pick up on the traditional guitars. In other words, most Boomers who are buying Gibson don’t typically want to deviate from tradition too much. Colors that were popular in fashion, decor, etc. during the 50’s and 60’s would likely sell better and be more well received as compared to the ones that are quite loud for most of this generation. I guess time will tell how sales will do. I’m 42, so I could be completely off base here. I definitely love the overall idea, but I’m not sure the loud colors would “vibe” with most of the senior population - and I say this with the utmost respect. If we were talking loud 80’s Power Strat crowd who loved hair metal and such, that would be the only exception to this rule. It’s two very different Boomer crowds and types of players/vibes. 😊 P.S. Is Dave doing videos in the middle of the night here in the US now? Or did you mix up AM and PM, lol? 😂😉

These "new" colors are pretty great! Partial to the blueberry burst and the ocean one myself. I'm pretty sure Gibson released blueberry burst on the Les Paul back in 2015-19 or somewhere in there but its great to have it again. That 50s cherry red on the 60s body was also pretty slick. thanks for the video!

the figured tops are $2999 and plain tops are $2799

I can’t get into them when only the tops are painted. Just a cost cutting process and it looks half assed in my opinion.

I was shocked to see they are only $2799 and $2999 in the US.

To me, this is just mixing and matching, and recycling of old ideas. I guess its a good thing, but I think they could have done a few more new options. The blueberry burst or pink look best to me.

Will Epiphone also impliment those colours or is it Gibson exclusive?
