I really wish this CP was a better intro for new players

It's around 395 with Wardens and 375 points with the Allarus. Compared to all others they are around 450-500 points. Only the Imperial Guard come close to use with 365 or something... But at-least they have fun rules and certain ways to disrupt enemies. There are no fun enhancements no fun secondaries... No deep strike... no blade champion in a squad.... no stick objectives...no movement buffs... It's sooooo terrible. I will just use this box to bolster my army but RIP anyone who will play this Combat Patrol

I wanted to play this one since, like most Custodes players probably, I already have all the models ready. No I don't. Are the rules for the old Patrol better? If not I'm just going to play a regular 500p game.

Lovely video mate! Pretty much with you about the new Custodes Combat Patrol. Superb box for expanding, but the CP rules are just meh. Honestly really boring and tbh. feels week. Really enjoyed playing the old CP from them, so I'm kinda shocked that there is no deep strike or that the Blade Champion can't join units. I really don't think that they tested it. Also, are the strong Combat Patrols still those from your tier list? Dark Angels, World Eaters and Eldars (+mabe Dark Eldars)?

So there's more models in the box than you can actually use for combat patrol? At this point I'd have expected GW to just cut the amount of plastic in the box then.

GW physically can't because of how the sprues are laid out. But yeah, you can't bring everything to a combat patrol game, you have to make the choice between wardens or allarus.

Wait wait. Axes in patrol are AP2 ? If yes, then this is a cruel noob trap.
