I'm looking forward to getting this, I like the refresh of the sigmarines. I think GW have done a great job of the sculpts for both armies. By GW standards the price is decent, especially with 18% off from my FLGS, its less than the price of two spearhead boxes.

I'm so excited for this box. The models look great and both factions are popular. Spearhead also looks great and more refined than combat patrol. I am a bit bummed on the board size but I'll hold off till I get to play it. Price is surprising as I was expecting $300 US. Just hope theres enough copies of this box and it doesn't get scalped all to hell

I think they are going to make plenty, you can still get Dominion 3rd ed. sets. Apparently they want to get more 40k players into AoS with Spearhead so recon they will have good stock.

Love all the Combat Patrol content and looking forward to Spearhead. I have the same concerns about Spearhead being played on a 22x30 board. I play a lot of Warcry and this is up to 2-3 times the models on the same size board unless every force has designated reinforcements. The game mode will get old quick if all it is is smashing 2 forces together.

That casual 50% markup for A$ is a true middle finger 😂

Why are the Australian prices so much higher? Is it simply shipping costs?

There are a few reasons. One is obviously shipping but most Austrialian prices are paying for shipping twice because the printed materials are made in china then shipped to UK where minis are added, and then shipped to AUS. Additionally AUS has high shipping because of monopolization of shipping into AUS and high port and customs fees. And then you have very bad inflation in Australia that has not been managed well. Finally Australian consumers continue to pay for these high prices.

Im always excited to spend on these releases then i see the price and get re-humbled with my existing grey plastic

I'm probably going to pick it up and give a friend the skaven half. The models look great and I'm really interested to see if they 'solved' the scaling problem their games have.

Eh. Unfortunately not interested in Stormcast or Skaven, even though the new Skaven sculpts look great.

will get this box and sell the Stormcast, maybe to my friend who plays them, then i'm gonna get one more of the Skaven parts :D

Personally I think the box is a hit, the only thing I sort of miss are warscroll cards... then again, the stats between regular AoS and Spearhead differs so I guess that is the reason they didn't include them. It is nice that they added some terrain bits although it is really sparse (but hey I got quite a bit of terrain already so no issue :P)

@@MiNDmaZing Warscrolls in Spearhead: Spearhead warscrolls are slightly simplified but designed to feel similar to warscrolls in the full game. The Spearhead battlepack doesn’t use advanced rules modules, so it doesn’t involve special rules for command models or advanced magic, but it does introduce many of the advanced concepts through abilities and cards. @@MiNDmaZing I might have worded it incorrectly however my actual reasoning still holds. They have different warscrolls cards in regular AoS than in Spearhead as the ones in Spearhead are simplified ones. Hence they did not include them in the box as they then had to include two sets of warscrolls.

People are saying good things about the new sculpts and box content and are forgetting the canceled minis a few weeks before…

Is it 1200 points per side ? Or 1200 in sum?

1200 per side. There is no way 4 stormcast heroes and 3 units are just 600 points.

I'm really looking forward to a Soulblight Gravelord Spearhead. Not sure I will buy this boxed set. I like skaven, but that is a big buy in 😅
