I had a 1970, swivel buckets, 402 cubic inch, rally wheels. Loved that beast, floor rotted right out of it by 1973 lol.

Chevy started using better quality Steel in the 80s and 90s in Back to the cheap Steel in the 2000's today it's hard to say which will come first the rust or the electrical problems😂

@@jackmeoff9299 ya probably the mega expensive entertainment centres will go first. My 2011 Ram is sprayed every year, bought it new Nov 2010 and it is still running original exhaust and brake lines. My 2020 Accord is not sprayed yet but been thinking of doing the same for it. Live next to Lake Ontario and streets get salt dumped on them in winter

Why is the price too high? What in your view should it cost?

Had a 78 brand new. 350 four speed SS. Put a L-82 Vette motor in it, 50s on the back, Vette wheels. What a fun ride!

Had a 1972. It was the last year with the wing windows. Hope they can incorporate that into the new 2 door only.

How many times did you lock yourself out and then get in through the wing windows?

I STILL HAVE MY '87 EL CAMINO SS & DRIVE IT DAILY.

Nothing would make me happier hopefully it happens. I have a 70 ss and 1979 caballero Diablo and 1985 el Camino ss already would love to add the new one to my collection

Not the "trayverse" engine..I can't wait for that powerhouse

My thoughts are give me a 1970 SS ElCamino any day over that ugly excuse for a truck. As far as the electric version, you can dump that in the trash.

So, if this is indeed true, the Camaro's replacement in NASCAR will be the Chevelle SS which is the El Camino's kissin cousin. Myself, I would much rather have the SS Chevelle variant. If this rendering is close to the production El Camino, I think it's a great looking vehicle. Thanks for sharing.

I had a 78 Cabelaro with a 350 and all I can say was woowsers could that scat! The Cabelaro was GMC's El Camino , the only difference was the badge! Am looking forward to see the 2025.

Yeah, the front end is a nightmare. If it's a 2 door, it better have a bed long enough for a dirt bike. A short bed would be ok with a 4 door or extended cab.

The SS has to be rear drive only, love to feel those smoking rear tires.

You send them to Australia They would sell every one of them immediately- no matter what the price.

I suppose if you have lived your whole life in a country where the law requires that you drive on the left side you may think that when somebody is driving on the left side of the road, they are driving on the right side. But in America you drive on the right side or you are drving on the WRONG side.@@andystone6777

IF ONLY! They brought back the Camaro sure, but this. I'll see it WHEN it happens. How 'bout bringing back the Monte Carlo? The Monte was one of those family/sports cars that everyone wanted. Bring back the first gen body style, ya know '70-'73.

The big3 are done for the car lots are full and they have paid extremely way to much money for used cars and it’s definitely caught up with them. Banks are going to go under as well. These people paying $1,500 a month vehicle payment is completely insane!

It's about damn time. I have had two El Caminos . This might bring me back to American made cars.

For about what the down payment would be on this fantasy that they've been teasing us with for years , I can resurrect the '63 Nova wagon out in the barn with a 327 , a M21 , and a 12 bolt drivetrain . While I'm at it , I'll convert it from a four door to a two door and shorten the roof to make myself a phantom El Novino . It'd be cheaper , more fun , and have more cargo room .

How about supurb handling, big engine, super sofa bench seat & north pole a/c. All wheel drive may have some advantages. All four corners have to match & wear equally. Low tire pressure, just one can ruin drivability. Electric powered transportation ? Hmm - take the train.

Is this for real? Hope it can be had with a V8 or Stovebolt 6!

Be careful with the prices because you may price it out of the market!!! Also, I don’t think a four-wheel-drive would be a good idea at all because El Camino never was a four-wheel-drive anything ever keep it a Rear Wheel drive, V8 or people that want a little more economical stands a V6 wheel drive!!! Please don’t put a four-wheel-drive in an El Camino because I think you’ll be asking for a lot of trouble with problems and cost!!! But I do love the way it looks. It has good stance a good look about itself and I have always loved the El Caminos. Good luck with it!!!!

Can I get it with a V8 and manual transmission? Probably not. I’ll keep my old Camaro.

I always liked the El Camino, I like it more sedan sport that SUV, and AWD Hybrid with Gas Plus EV at 400+ HP, 0-60 in 4 seconds, 350 mile range and Gas with EV assist combined 35 -40 MPH. Not we're talking what people want and need. I will not haul 2,000 of mulch or sand or brick or logs, so give it a nice lockable cover and Not 4 doors. Keep one version short for sport and that is the one I would consider. See Volvo T8 Drive, Gas plus EV AWD Hybrid. it makes perfect sense as we walk toward 2035 MPG and Emissions with incremental improvement for Gas and EV along the way. Lets Go GM hit the leather. if Chevy ever came back with the El Camino, it would be a four-door. It would probably compete with vehicles like the Ford Maverick and the Hyundai Santa Cruz which means there is a market for it.

I like it! Probably will just be a collector type car, but it's cool. And a hotrod SS model starting at only $43000 isn't too bad at all. I think Im gonna need one of them. I want a black on black Royal Knight SS, to match my 79!

Your Legend was a little late, the original of this type of vehicle comes from Australia even the SS model was made down under many years ago. The whole concept of this type of vehicle belongs to Ford Australia back in the 1930's when they invented what they called a utility vehicle that could work on the farm during the week and then go to church in on the weekend
